Totally agree with you at least some who’s got a footballing background it happens in football & totally right Duran had got a lot to Learn in more ways than one we will leave it there yes Barry deserves a chance.

Unfortunately I don’t see Louie getting game time with us, as much as I want him too but I think the rules say if he plays for us he than can’t play for a 3rd team so won’t be able to loan him out come end of Jan. Correct me if I’m wrong.

He's scored double figures in the last 4 seasons. 32 goal contributions last campaign alone. There will be no shortage of suitors in the summer for Ollie, if Villa fail to reach the CL again. 66 goals and 29 assists in total. Chance creation and supply is still the issue, alongside a very leaky defence. If you're conceding every game, you have to create and score double just to overcome the shortcomings and deficit at the back. Those who arent assisting or scoring at all from midfield are more worrying. Villa without Watkins or Martinez become a bottom 5 side. You dont replace those without spending £75m+. And Villa dont attract that level of quality. We built those guys in this league. Watkins took his chance and made that position his own. Barry will play wide if he starts in the cups or he will come on from the bench. He's in cracking form and confidence, but will the team know how to play to him? Looking forward to seeing if Emery gives him a chance. If finances are tight we may not have another option. January might be make or break in the league

Watkins misses too many chances mate, he is a striker and he is paid to put the ball in the net.

70% of Duran’s goals this season are match winners. He has some behavioral issues but he is young and fortunately we have an incredible striker that is in when he is out. Duran will be back and you will forget what he did

Goals win games and put points on the board, I personally think you should never take a goal scorer for granted, I would take now a Alan shearer 3 years from retirement because back then he could still walk the ball in the back of net. Duran has been good scored some important goals for us and I really think he could become a world class striker Watkins has been an important player for us but he struggles at times to finish his dinner. We should be glad we have two strikers that are as good as they are and not trying to get rid of one because that could backfire on us.

ollys missed a few chances since that stat was revealed,,, duran has been decent and is learning fast both are different and its good to have that variation but were just not so good going forwards and although its close at times and some of the football is very good were just either making bad decision's or its a poor pass or a poor finish etc etc be nice for olly to get his goal finishing back

Duran is young. Duran should be less experienced than Ollie buts let’s be clear that without his winners this season Villa would be in a relegation battle. I messaged in earlier in the season saying I was worried that the winners are hiding how much certain players are off it. I love you Kev but jokes about Duran kicking staff helps for people on the outside to think Duran has violent tendencies which is NOT true. If he had violent tendencies he would have shown it in the cup game where he scored the penalty as he was kicked and thrown about in all of that game and he did not react once. Just appreciate we have 2 x good strikers where one is in form and the other one is. By the way JD has been scoring those types of goals in training as confirmed by Jacob Tanswell.

Imagine if we sold Duran to Chelsea or West Ham?? We'd be fighting relegation, and probably out or about to be knocked out the champions league. Thats how poor Watkins has been this season. Its all well and good doing your runs and looking an athletically pleasing baller but if it doesn't result in us winning then fans will be turning on the players and manager.

I dont care how good you look if youre not taking your chances, as a striker you need to be clinical. Simple as that.

Uni has no record of giving youngsters a chance from within, bidace was awesome last season and has gone backwards under uni and Barry will go out to a championship club so another waste and you know he would give his all unlike bailey who isn't fit to wear the shirt.

I hear you and agree mostly. However, Barry has that Barcelona background. Emery will take note of this. Does Barry have 15 goals in 19 or 20 league 1 games. Louie has a couple of assists and he scores penalties regularly also. I think you may see atleast two appearances for Barry this January(and especially in the FA Cup game at Villa Park). Barry's confidence is sky high. Hes game is based on running and testing defenders constantly. If he can get a sub appearance in one of the CL games and then go out on loan, it stands in him in a great position at his age. I think he may stay as a winger with us for the rest of this season. JPB and one defender to go out on loan. If Villa fans are enjoying long range goals from Duran, Barry might have even more in the locker than him. If the PL jump isnt too high.

@@John-h7w6c Another reason Barry returns for now. Bringing back a kid from two divisions down, can work to motivate the Bailey's, Buendia's and JPB's. Shame them into working If Barry pops up with consecutive goal contributions straight away, those other wingers have to find form quickly, or they are sat down or left out. Time is of the essence now, with 3 competitions to play for this month.

@@RuachEden totally 👍 agree with you 100% we’ve brought players in the summer because of the Champions League & we haven’t used them much or at all might has well saved the money & invested in players to it the road running has the saying goes not in a couple seasons unless we stop conceding goals at the back we not going to qualify for the champions league this season & that’s not being Negative last season a few teams had a poor season allowed us to get forth it’s different this season still possible but things have to change specially away from home play players in the best positions not a centre half fullback & bring in a best leader have at the club in my opinion MINGS .
