Kwaku, we need to learn from this. The assembly is right. The laws of Ghana does not allow individuals to fix a road or a public facility without the involvement/supervision of the assembly or public agency. This is because if you allow individuals to do so, they would fix it to their advantage and to the disadvantage of other citizens. This is more so on hilly or water logged roads. To eliminate any bias fixing, you get the assembly involved.

I’m sorry, it doesn’t make any sense… the chief made several reports to them and they refused to help… at least, why not supervise him the (CHIEF) to do what was right? Law were made for us not the other way round… The people needed to do it soo badly and the assembly was never ready. It’s not always about the law… let’s not get it wrong… thank you.

@@Kwakulove1 Is it the law that does not make sense or what? Learn to separate the law from the attitude of those implementing it. Those people at the assembly may not have helped the situation but it doesn’t mean the law is wrong. It’s a public interest law and we must learn to respect it as it serves us all. Until you live by a rich person who can skew landscape in his immediate environment to your disadvantage, you may not understand. It’s our attitude as a people which is wrong and needs to be worked on.

@donnbiggie My friend… it doesn’t make any sense… why not talk about the Assemblies attitude? Which law Man? Let’s be real… Human beings needs things to be fixed and you are talking about Law… let be serious for ones… that’s why we are struggling today.

@@Kwakulove1 Those who follow the law make more progress than those who think they know better but in fact know less. The assembly did not do their job but it doesn’t mean the law protecting both the weak and strong is bad.

It’s about time Manhyia put their foot down and let Asante people develop their Kingdom. They can’t sit and wait for these stupid Ghana politicians to keep them stagnant. Asantes are known for not waiting for nobody to help them. They are industrious people that take matters into their own hands to develop. Democracy is what’s killing Africa.

If that's the case, then why hasn't Asantes fixed the Kumasi Children 's Park? It's been abandoned for more than 20 years and poses a significant security risk to the people who live around and ply that route. So why hasn't Asantes fixed it?
