Having been raised on the Old School (1970s / early 1980s) way of thinking, I am very comfortable with "Simplicity" - an approach that is more about "The Highest Possible Quality" first - and then the movement forward can get more complex only as necessary. I LOVE the idea of this Origin Console. It is "Straight Forward" and incorporates both Old School and New School ideas. Just the Preamp alone - going from Pristine Clean to incorporating variable amounts of color/distortion is just so Hip. As usual, SSL comes up with innovative and very useful products - and in this case, extremely more affordable. Thank you, SSL !!

Hi + Thanks for the video. So you've designed a desk that fits right the entry to mid-market segment and is a direct competitor of the Audient ASP 8024. Good idea. But for 49.9k USD, couldn't you have included an integrated patchbay? I'm just saying that because this type of desk is not beig bought so much for its sound than for its ease of use, "plug'n play, I/Os and routing capbilities (I hate builidng pachbays) Besides the SSL brand, I struggle to find any differenciator that would tip my choice towards the Origfin rather than the ASP. Could you elaborate? Thx + cheers.

They didnt do that because flock audio is coming out with digital patchbay. If they did it would be obsolete in a matter of a couple of years.
