That old dice team was gone, brother. Most are in Embark studios now. This new Dice team was incompetence now. That’s why 2042 sucks. I still seeking to play a modern setting game with BF1’s atmosphere and BF4’s content. But i think my dream wont come true.

To be fair 2042 was developed by a mostly new team for a shorter than normal time during a pandemic. That being said they definitely should have just delayed it until it was ready. The old DICE team might not be there to make us a S tier game, but it's still possible that the new team can deliver a good title. I'm not getting too excited though. If we ever get BF1 (with a little bit of BFVs better gameplay) X BF4 I'd cry tears of joy. I really feel like it's not that hard to listen to what the community wants right? Embark seems to be cooking up some good stuff though. Can't wait to try The Finals. The destruction looks nuts.

I've always been able to find BF1 matches since launch on PC. But the combo of All Quiet On The Western Front movie and BF1 selling for $5 on both PC and PS has hugely boosted the playerbase.

Battlefield 1 is good and super immersive, but the gameplay is kinda out dated. I'd say try out Battlefield 5. Gunplay is a little snappier, movement is more fluid, and it over all feels more modern. Just remember that battlefield is a combined arms game. Have fun playing infantry but also have fun with the tanks and planes.

Bro if only. I'm rocking a 3060ti. Payed 3080ti MSRP for it though lol. It's surprisingly powerful. Getting 120-130fps on ultra 1440p. Up to 160 on the more optimized maps.

They're pretty easy to avoid them if you play on community run servers. They have admins that will ban the cheaters while the official servers don't.

In my humble opinion i think BF1 was the start of the downfall of the Battlefield franchise. New mechanics were introduced to basically make the game more user friendly towards new players and attract as much playerbase as it could since Call of Duty Infinite Warfare at the time faced major backlash. It was the start of over casualization of the series. People will always bring the immersion and atmosphere factor into the equation but like, at what cost? Low visibility just for the sake of visual fidelity ? Who even wants to play a FPS that you can't even see your target most of the time...?

Battlefield 1 should be fully remastered, all bugs removed, all graphics upgraded (even more than how god they already are), a full marketing campaign deployed and made moddable. It's just such a good fucking game.

Honestly I disagree. It already looks fine. The bugs aren't that bad and it would just be easier to fix them in the actual game than completely remake it. Mod support would be super cool though.

@@Adelic1 one major annoying bug in the game is when you sometimes go fast into prone or try to go over a ledge, the animation just fails and you have to try multiple times or at a just slightly different position to work, it gets me killed often enough the other is how some vehicles can get stuck in a hole or pothole (especially artillery truck) and what truly sucks is heavy vehile respawn times, it takes like 3-5 mins for a tank to respawn, and it's often on the longer range
