They neglect to mention that the fibre is used as a base and then infused with POLYURETHANE to make the so-called alternative leather. Not much different from existing Naugahyde and other pleathers that use a fabric scrim or backing to give them some strength. Just weave the fibres into textile and forget trying to make leather.
