When I think of Thailand food, I think of eating papaya salad on the beach with grilled chicken. We used to see the lady coming from far away up the beach, and we couldn’t,wait for her to arrive, put down the griddle she had around her neck, and make up the papaya salad in front of us. One of my most favourite memories. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Koh Lanta has changed a lot. I've been there around 1997. The road is built with narrow dirt roads. very few shops only nature sea and trees But the food there is very delicious and cheap. I miss seeing it again.

At 29:50...when you say YAK-SHIM, you're saying you want to taste a sample of that food but you're not ready to buy it. If you want to try it, you should say YAK-LONG GIN. It means I WANT TO TRY IT. I've noticed that food vendors are confused when you say YAK-SHIM because they're not sure if you want to buy it or just get a sample taste of it.
