@MrFaccts2 ай бұрын
The yongnuo 33mm F1.4 would definitely be better, I guess . If the yongnuo 33mm f1.4 can beat sigma 30mm f1.4 , I'm sure viltrox 33mm F1.4 would be easier to beat as well . I don't know about other people, but I have used the viltrox 33mm f1.4, and I had a bad experience with it . The copy I got was noisy, and my yongnuo 50mm f1.8 was a lot sharper than my viltrox 33mm f1.4 . Cut the long story short , I returned the viltrox cos I don't like hearing the motor noise while focusing since it makes me feel like the lens is damaged even though it is not . If you want to get the best value out of your money , buy the yongnuo 33mm f1.4 , and you won't regret it. It looks and works like a pro lens, as you have seen on Mark's review.

I'm actually in the market for a 30mm 1.4 right now and i think these two are just about equals. Personally i prefer the Sigma for it's size, weight, image quality, price, availibility where i live and the minimum focussing distance. But i could see how the weather sealing and lack of focus breathing could be preferrable to someone else. If you're a beginner reading this comment, think about what you'd use the lens for to make the best decision. Lastly, the Sigma non E-Mount Version's are also weather-sealed.

Solid lens! Love the aperture ring and af/mf switch! Sirui does make a 33mm f1.2 that is a banger of a lens as well! Great video! 👌

I wonder if I should buy this one over the Viltrox 27mm f1.2
@MarkBennettCameraCrisis2 ай бұрын
an interesting point. It's smaller and a lot cheaper and does almost as much

The viltrox is much better build with more weather sealing . It also has better performance. In my personal opinion the viltrox 27 is the highest quality/ performance lens ever made for apsc e mount . I have a full frame gmaster lens and the viltrox rivals that

If camera manufacturers put an O ring on the camera instead of the lenses, won’t all lenses be water sealed? Seems like a no brainer to me. There must be a good reason why they do it the other way around.
