yes, the system is corrupted. But thankfully we live in a free country, so that means you have the freedom to choose and maybe combat corruption

For me, I’m basing my interest in schools toward what the university has access to and who they partner with in research, in addition to what internships are nearby. I plan on studying astronautical engineering.

What schools are you looking into. I'm also want to get into aerospace/astronautical engineering.
@decoderhacker406211 ай бұрын
@@gtscubing2544 My top two picks are the University of Michigan and Arizona State University (I live in Arizona, so that'll probably be the school I go to). Both universities have ties to Nasa; U of M did a Nasa sponsored project, and I heard from a tour guide at ASU that he did a project at Nasa's jet propulsion lab in california. I'm also thinking about applying at MIT, Iowa State, University of Illinois, Georgia Tech, and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. The one thing that'll affect affect where I go is tuition, which brings me back to possibly attending ASU.

Yeah I was hoping to find a research- concentrated university (for biological sciences)- any recommendations?
@decoderhacker406210 ай бұрын
@@norahai3589 I personally haven't looked into any biological science programs, but I'd first recommend looking at the schools within the state you live in that offer programs you're interested in. Like I mentioned in my previous comment, ASU is the most realistic option for me since a) in-state tuition is lower, and b) they have a well developed aerospace program. If possible, schedule campus tours - most tours will break down based on the majors the institution offers. The tour guide, depending on the school's strongest program, could likely offer information to you about what the university offers for your major. In your case, you could also ask biology teachers at your school which institution they'd recommend. Another one of the schools I want to apply to is Embry Riddle Aeronautical university, which is a school recommended by my high school's engineering program. After visiting Embry Riddle, I found that they have great connections in research with a ton of aerospace companies like Nasa, Boeing, Northrop Gruman, etc.; industry connections is definitely a factor you should apply when looking through universities. I hope this helps :)

Yep, I was very very interested in MIT, still am, but I realized instead of doing things that would bum me out and not even guarantee me a chance at MIT, I as a junior year immigrant would just focus on going hardcore on my studies and what I love.

Worth mentioning that if you're a try hard and applying to every Ivy League school, those schools talk and your chances of getting accepted go down. Pick a school and city that fits your needs and wants. It's not where you go, it's what you do with the time there.

100% agree.. I'm not in the US but I applied for my master's degree in the no.1 university in the country and I was happy when I got accepted.. I didn't know anyone from that uni and just relied on the world ranking.. Turned out that the uni was terrible in all aspects and later I got to know different girls from different departments, doing their bachelor's degree and even phd and all their feedback about the uni was bad.. Many factors contribute to the world ranking that don't necessarily mean that the uni in good, factors like the number of foreign students and foreign staff, if the uni has like a medical faculty this def. increases the ranking ... etc
