This is exactly what happened in the repatriation of the 20’s and 30’s. Two Million Mexicans and Mexican Americans were “repatriated” back to Mexico. Of that number, 1.2 million (so more than 1/2) were American born. Many of those wrongfully deported, were never able to return. And that is already happening. In NJ a seafood market was raided and a US military veteran was detained. Then, when he presented his military documentation, they questioned if it was legit. Seriously? Human rights be damned, I guess.
