Loved this! Thank you for always showing us affordable things (like things that the average tourist can do) and also including prices, really helpful 😊

Thank you so much for your posting☺ I'm glad that you have enjoyed staying at Tokyo🗼 Katsu (カツ:Japanese Cutlets) has been added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2024.(I'm surprised it😲)

I love you guys and this is a great video! I have to admit though, I always feel disappointed when I see content creators I admire going to Starbucks and ignoring the boycott.
@DaneAndStaceyКүн бұрын
We’re coffee snobs, we strongly dislike Starbucks for its crimes against quality coffee… but maybe we should be more clued up on the boycott?? Can you share more details?
@JessicaTownsend-w4dКүн бұрын
@@DaneAndStacey Absolutely! :) There are two main reasons people are boycotting Starbucks -- firstly because of their deplorable track record in preventing their labourers from forming and joining unions, and secondly because of Palestine. They are strongly tied to the Starbucks Foundation, which donates to organisations in support of Israel, and also they brought a lawsuit against the union Starbucks Workers United for tweeting in support of Palestine. Starbucks isn't an official target of BDS, but generally people who support Palestine and also support workers rights to unionise are boycotting for these two reasons! Thanks for your curiosity, and I hope you'll consider joining the boycott! (Especially since their coffee is so rubbish anyway, I agree lol.) Can't wait to see more of your adventures in Japan.

I try to avoid Starbucks too but I found a lot of the cafes in Japan (ones with decent coffee) don’t open until 10 or 11am, so sometimes you have to make do. 😝

Don Quixote can be a life saver (some are 24hr)... Looking forward to see you guys try something more brave like Gyūtan (beef tongue) or Uni (sea urchin)... 😏

haha I found that the Starbucks is too "low" for good views of the crossing (also, as you said, the coffee was... mostly sugar.) There used to be a l'ocitane cafe there as well, higher up with better views (and although the coffee was not great, the cakes were nice) and nowadays I refuse to pay for shibuya sky haha. Did you try the pedestrian bridge? The views from there are free XD Also it's definitely busier in the evenings.

Honestly I need to go to Japan...The food looked incredible and the scenery absolutely stunning....Is Japan overrun with tourism at the moment? I see alot of news involving over tourism......
@DaneAndStaceyКүн бұрын
Japan is amazing - it is popular but worth it! We were chatting today, in somewhere like Tokyo it still feels like 95% locals, it’s just SO busy at times. Kyoto felt like more tourists, but Tokyo is so vast. Just depends where you go.

6:32 That's a Korean snack. Just like the robot restaurant that had a Korean owner, it's something foreign owners promote only to tourists, and no Japanese person knows about it.
