It’s a smart move. Put buyout money into NIL instead of losing the roster and recruiting class and hiring a coach after the playoffs to go through a Year 1 gauntlet. Recruiting will benefit from the assured stability with freshman already being the stars of the team. Team is playing hard for Napier. One more year makes sense. Good business.

Billy was rejected by Saban and LSU for the role of offensive coordinator citing the reason was he is awful at it but the AD at Florida along with Ben Sasse disagreed and decided to pay him a fortune to prove he truly is not good at it. Well the AD had to see if for himself so he went to TX game.

UF has bigger problem with their Basketball coach. UF schedule is pretty impossible to navigate especially when your two QBs are hurt. We can all agree that Napier has not been great, but another year might not be a bad idea. Put the money on the NIL and come next year, you can revisit.

No it makes a ton of sense actually. It’s a bad time to fire the coach. Too much buyout money to pay NIL, would lose star freshmen, and would hire a coach after playoffs which loses a recruiting and transfer class and throws them into a gauntlet year one. Announcing that he stays helps this year’s recruiting while we sort it out next year.

UF has officially accepted being a loser football program. Sunbelt Billy will continue to be the loser he is. He isn't a good play caller. He hasn't made a single good hire since taking the program over. OSU is over there getting an HC to agree to come be an OC, and what is UF doing??? Keeping a loser who thinks hes a good play caller who doesn't make any positive head turning hires.

He'll yea, it's stupid to bring him back. Napier is a proven loser and will always be a loser and the same exact thing goes for Scott Strickland. With these 2 in charge Florida will be the college version of the Cleveland Brown's. We have so much talent on the team and I truly feel bad for our players being stuck with an absolute scrub of a head coach who had no business being a head coach of any team in the SEC.
