If we’re being honest with ourselves, nobody likes to see Batman just destroy the Joker. Nobody likes to see Superman just destroy Lex Luthor. The best storylines are about the hero’s journey. It’s about the good guy struggling to overcome an obstacle, and then ultimately achieving his goal. If the Elite just started AEW and dominated every single person they faced, it wouldn’t be fun to watch after a few weeks. The greatest victories are the ones that were fought the hardest.

Wow the writing is even better than expected! Yes, it's somewhat obvious that they're going to break up the elite through the various problems they are facing as an individual (Cody's MJF betrayal, Kenny chasing his ghosts of being the top but yet always falls short of Moxley, Bucks being "rusty" and losing all their important tag matches and Page's inferiority complex) but the reunion's gonna be awesome! The booking to tie up all loose ends together is going to be tricky but I have faith in their story telling!

I'm the kind who loves characters and acts that are protected staying protected, I like it better when someone doesn't shine a UV light to show where all the strings are, and admittedly that's always been BTE's audience. So I skip the segments with Cassidy and Luchasaurus/others - I really really hope they don't screw up by having Saurus talk like a regular dude on AEW TV because that's half the appeal gone! The 18 month Omega/Okada storyline would have beat by miles. You had 3 of the best matches in history, the best title reign (Okada's) we have seen in loooong time end. Omega win his first heavyweight strap. And they had just each put on their besglt performance maybe of their careers. Not to mention Omega, the Bucks, and Ibushi reconcilation weaved into the victory. I dont see how Marty signing to AEW would even come close to something like that.
