Where did you buy yours from? Silly question but the one I've seen in angling direct the reel handle is on the right....do you have the option to choose? Wanna get one but I want the handle on the left if that makes sense 🤯

Yes you need to be careful there! We (like you) also prefer our reel handle on the left! As far as we know most Baitcasters cannot be swapped around. Stay vigilant! Look for one on the other side 👊🏼 Tight lines!

I recently ordered my first casting rod and reel... I saw a good deal on Black Friday so I went for a Penn reel and Abu Garcia’s Beast X in 20-70 g rod, I received the 45-100 g rod 🤨 sure enough my sausage fingers didn’t press the right option. I don’t have lures heavier than 40 g?! Do I risk trying it out or just send the bugger back, what’s your thoughts?

We use bigger baits for pike. Most of our lures are over 40g, I’d say keep it and try out the bigger baits m, get some 40lb braid and you should be good to go!

Nice video sir. I'm a late comer to fishing, an old novice you could say, and at some aspects of the sport in quite good, but at pike fishing - no! My dream fishing trip would be one in which I'm pike fishing for pike on my local river, where there are pike to be caught in abundance, and actually catch one of the buggers - even a little one would do. I've got the gear, the rigs, the lures, the stinking dead baits, the net, the plush, super soft, silky smooth, extra sprung unhooking mat, but will the local pike have go at all the wonderful treats I have lined up for them here? Nope! Is it me? Do pike just not like me? Tench do; rudd do; roach do. Cod, bass and conger eels do, as do fresh water eels. So why not pike? Maybe you have an answer to this conundrum. Well pike fishing is a tricky business... Make sure the pike are there firstly and then just keep casting. That is the cold hard truth. Good luck!

Usefull video im giving very serious thought to fishing as my new hobby ( can't do kickboxing any more ) a nice relaxed thing like fishing seems to be the way. Not into sea fishing because the bait stinks and is slimey so are the fish, carp fishing is just too boring. Pike seems to fit the bill. There are some good deals on abu rods n reels on amazon.
