Jared if you press O on the keyboard you can change the music to either avoid copyright or hear new renditions of the songs made by others, one of them gives every palace a unique song. This could be really good if you ever consider doing the New Game+ for the triforce door which is SUPER worth it.

The sword has an upgrade called flurry attack that needs to be turned on by pressing "O" to open the options menu then toggling it. Its set to off by default, but the spell upgrade is set to on by default if you ever find it. The wizard who ran away is hidden somewhere on the east continent.

​@kennycarter5682 Its on the forest southwest of the town you the fire spell. You have to destroy the froest tile just south of the one with the fairy encounter. The trick is to go tonthe fairy tile and when you get out, link will be facing south towards the tile! Just press A and voila!

Its kind of a troll secret, you have to clear a forest that can only be cleared after an encounter has finished since Link is facing south by default. Its near the first town on the east continent if you want to look for it. Don't want to say exactly where so Jared can find it on his own.@@kennycarter5682

Clearly the wise man went to study fairies in their natural habitat in order to fix the spell. I imagine most people don't even know about the fairy tile, but it seems like the only one actually at water like in Zelda 1.

@@gooberdome Can't recall if this is exact since it's been a minute since I played but Spoiler: if I recall east continent near the flute spider - on the left side of the lake is a fairy. Come out and hammer right in front of you, or something like that, to reveal a hut where the third (I think) hermit magician ran off to. He will upgrade the cucco so it's continuous until you turn it off, and give you the missing boulder hint.

Pro tip for the bird knights in the great palace: don't run around like crazy. Let them jump to you, and over you. When they jump over you, up stab them. They don't have armor there.

Don't worry too much about the Great Palace. Since you have a map the tedium is much reduced. While it IS the dungeon I have the least memory of, I don't think they changed much of anything besides ACTUALLY having to explore it for the Master Key. So I think it balances out. You actually are exploring for a goal rather than because you're lost.

The Great Palace is familiar, Jerd. It's got a few changes like the other Palaces, but nothing outlandish. IIRC (and my map isn't full so add salt to this take) there are two extra secrets, one of which is the Link Doll, and since the Key is there now there's an extra 4? rooms that make up the path to it. Supposedly there's also a second fairy somewhere, but I never found her.
