Can't really judge because of Camera Audio, but I felt the Behringer was also making the output louder than the BBE. That makes the Behringer sound better temporarily. But the BBE is more consistent keeping similar loudness.

Both are good. I've just got a Sonic Ultramizer and sounds great. It seems to add a nice low end and top detail. The BBE has a very good top end but overall I prefer the Behringer.

I'll take the bbe..have 2 of them never had a problem with either one in 17 years.no doubt the berhringer does sound good,but i've read reviews about some transformers blowing in their equipment.i have a behringer 3400 xover the transformer went out after 6)7 years but it performed good before the transformer blew bbe outlasted it by 10/11 years and it's still going strong.thamks for the demo!

The moral of the story... you'll not find a sound engineer in the video. DOH! For starters, its 2-channel system. Do the same adjustments for each channel...AT THE SAME TIME. SLOWLY! It's a subtle morphing affect, allowing you to find a sweet spot in the sound, balancing the frequency spectrums clarity. Oh hell, never mind.... but... Yamaha Steinberg MR816csx has this type of affect, called Channel Strip Sweet Spot Morphing. It seems to clarify phasing issues with the speaker system as well. I have the BBE and MR816vsx. Its firewire still, but a fantastic sound card. Yamaha/Steinberg yeah!! Cant go wrong. I have the Behringer Autocom too which finds a compression sweet spot as well

@@gkiss2030 you even made it more confusing! The upper one is definitely NOT a BBE, and definitely DIDN'T maximise the sound better. On the contrary, my headphones told me the lower one did a better job, AND my eyes told me the lower one is a BBE 882

I am normally a hardware fan but this is definitely something you could get as a plug-in which would be more beneficial. I did own a BBE many years ago but did not like the sound and preferred the Behringer Ultrafex 2 which gave it a sort of radio sound which was really nice (think Kiss FM).

Mal som obe BBE aj Behringer, hlavný rozdiel je že BBE nešumí a aj vo zvuku je počuteľný rozdiel. Samozrejme, ak mate lacný mix, ktorý šumí, tak vám stačí Behringer. The black one (top) is Behringer's Sonic Ultramizer, and the red one (bottom) is a BBE Sonic Maximizer. BBE has been making Sonic Maximizers since the 1980's. IIRC, that red BBE (model 882i) came out in 2006, and Behringer introduced their SU9920 "Sonic Ultramizer" in 2007.

@@gigix555 if you heard it in real life and especially on a heavily amplified sound system you would go with the bbe hands down. i never had the dials all the way up though. you can't really judge audio through youtube's 128k mp3 compression after being recorded on someone's phone.

What a poor demo! First off, he's only demoing one side of a stereo processor. then, he turns knobs on one he's not using! Is he chaining these? Or not. Why does he switch audio cables? What the h** is he doing here! I give this minus one for a decent review. and the Behringer, true to form, has cloned the original chip, so I doubt there is much difference in sound quality, except to someone with super good hearing and pristine equipment-and the right soundtracks. Agreed the quality isn't great-I have the SX3040, cheap knobs, wouldn't want to be throwing this around too much. But I have no idea which one I'm hearing here. This is clickbait-"fake" both these fake the original sounds. I don't these guys even know which one was the original. Anybody can make drums "punchier". just play them louder! well, give a monkey a machine gun....

All Behringer does is copy good established products with cheap components to make you believe you got the good stuff. And sounds are very metallic. No wonder Behringer is the brand with most equipment to sell on e-bay, reverb and other platforms. Save up and buy the real stuff.
