Gen 2 comp with XTR brakes, 220 mm Hope floating disc rotors with red MTX racing pads. Vorsprung smashpot coil up front, Push 11 six coil on the back. Onyx Vesper hubs with ceramic bearing upgrade. XTR drivetrain. Hope cranks brought down to 155 mm. Maxxis assegai up front, dhr II on the back. Speed delimited using Levociraptor and BLEVO app. Funnest damn toy I've ever had in my life! Your build is also really nice! Great job!

Got a killer deal on that same bike new. I HAD to change the brakes, tires, suspension and the dropper. I’m a Clydesdale and all but the dropper is for small lightweight riders which gave me zero confidence. After beefing them up it’s spot on now. 150mm dropper???? I put a 210mm dropper and that’s what should’ve been spec’d with. Conclusion: not worth full price if you’re big. Amazing bike with proper parts.

Changed everything bar the suspension on my levo , new wheels from you guys , would love to try ohlins but haven’t worked out the excuse to why I need change , even though my boss , wife runs a levo too 😬

I have just now installed Ohlins TTX 22m.2 coil over shock and Ohlins RXF 38 on the front. Also, I am still running code brakes, which I should be changing to Magura soon. it will be interesting to find out how the Galfer 246 rotor upfront and 223 rotor in the back works on this bike. Hopefully I do not go over the handlebars. Lol.

it's amazing how popular this bike is considering how much trouble Brose has had with its motor and belt over the years . it says a lot for the handling / ride ability . Of course there is also the prestige factor that many people are susceptible to.

You're absolutely right guys, but I'll weigh in and say that the Gen 3 motor we see in the latest generation Levo has hit the nail on the head. The Gen 1 & 2 didn't have the best reputation but this one has come more in line with Bosch in terms of reliability. So now the bikes finally have a drive system that can do the frame justice 🙌

That's great to hear . i almost bought a NOX with the brose but waited . NOX then added the Sachs rs motor to their line up which i bought and am very satisfied with . it sounds like the Brose may have found it's true potential , i hope

On the way to work it's not too bad as it's downhill then flat but coming back is a pain, especially after working 13 hours. I've never used an E bike but I see people on them just flying past like its absolutely nothing. For now I've picked up a Scott aspect to do the job as I work till 1am so that'll do till I can save up enough. I'm thinking either the Specialised levo or Giant trance X e. Which would you say is better out the two?

I'll definitely get the levo then. it's also a very nice looking bike too, might go for the red or blue version they Do. Hopefully by around march/April I'll have enough when the weather is hotter as with my job doing security I don't like the idea of turning upto to work pouring with sweat, lol. Does the e bike feel like a normal mountain bike just with more power behind it?

Crankbrothers Synthesis wheels are very good. So are the Reserves from Santa Cruz. The carbon Rovals are good too. The rear hub is a big consideration with the additional torque from an ebike so look at something ebike specific. They tend to have less/bigger teeth in the ratchets or more/burlier pawls.

Great bike as is the weak link is the chain with this much torque. The power blends the gear changes and makes it easy to overload the drive chain and sprockets. Could have 8 speed and thicker sprockets and chain and be bulletproof

Wonder if we’ll see ebike drivetrains trend this way. There’s not many occasions a 50t ring on an ebike is all that useful. Great for a ‘let’s ride up stupid stuff’ challenge. But trading that for much better durability is probably a great idea!

My 2022 Comp Alloy came with basic Code brakes and they had to go. These bikes are pigs and need as much as you can afford to stop them. My thought was the same when purchasing....for the $$$...it's a winner. Whatever you do, don't wash the thing upside down...a new TCU and wiring harness will be in your future if so. I ended up with a new motor at 1500 miles due to 2 of the 6 motor mounts broke, which is not typical apparently.

Yup. Washed mine upside down. Brought it over to the garage to use the air compressor to blow dry it (upside down) & water started dribbling out of the TCU area. Ugh! Turned the bike right side up & pulled the battery to let everything air dry. Fortunately, no apparent damage to any electrical components. Definitely not doing that again. 😮

Interesting. We’ve yet to see motor mounts breaking. Specialized warranty support is second to none.

If you need more braking power. You can always go with the Galfer 246 rotors up front and 223’s in the back. I just installed these on my 2022 turbo levo. I am also still running code brakes. I will be switching to Migura eventually, but due to the rainy weather right now in Cleveland, I have not been able to test ride the bike yet? I will let you know if I go over the bars. L O L.

I went with XTR brakes and Hope floating disc rotors 220 mm front and back and MTX red racing pads which are amazing and silent and stop on a dime. Strange deal on the motor mounts, I beat the heck out of my bike and have had no problems and I am at 4000 miles.

SRAM g2 brakes are horrible brakes on turbo levo, don't work good. I almost have an accident because the the brakes. The first thing is to replace the brakes. Just get the Magura mt7, Shimano saint or Shimano zee.

Definitely an area they save money to meet the price point. Don’t need to spend a fortune for a big improvement.
