Honestly the guy didn't deserve the attitude. A full hour trying to retake a game that was lost from min 15, carrying out almost every instruction to the best of his ability (despite some of the instructions would appear to me as pretty unclear/ambiguous or simply can't understand the reasoning behind it to extrapolate into a continuous play), while simultaneously adding a bunch of new concepts to your gameplay that you don't usually do (and definitely take some serious conscious effort to perform accurately). The veigar was champ, I don't give a fuck how entitled you feel about your "teaching", it deserves an apology. The guy hesitated for a second and gets shit for it, completely uncalled for.

Neace bro, love your content and all that, but I do think you need to start thinking of this kind of tilt as a flaw in your coaching style. Getting mad is one thing, but you're not here to make them win THIS game, you're here to point out their flaws so they can learn from them. Yelling is fine, motivational even, but telling students you hate watching their game and making them feel shitty about it will make them MORE nervous and LESS likely to commit. It looked to me like he didn't know he wasn't challenging. He went up and started trying to find the perfect angle of attack. This needs to be explained to him with X's and O's, which is in my opinion what you're best at.

Shorts are a beast of it's own. Right now they're the meta and it can really push your channel to get more subs and views, but personally i think you should make a separate channel for them. People who watch shorts are less likely to watch long videos and the other way around. I think that by creating a new channel dedicated to shorts only it's going to be better to expand and strenghten your brand, and funnel people to the coaching service.

@AndryuITA
@AndryuITA 2 жыл бұрын
@@Oscar-bj9ut Well shorts on youtube are quite new, so it's hard to state that there's evidence to it, but shorts are that kind of content where people mindlessly scroll through without much care, the people who watch 20/30+ minutes videos usually have more "commitment" and the content that's gonna be used for the shorts is the same in the long videos, in Neace's case anyway. I also noticed that youtube tends to push more the "shorts only" kind of channles rather than those who upload both shorts and long videos, probably because youtube wants to compete in that field with tik tok or w/e. A lot of creators are taking that route where they have a main channel that they keep "clean" with long videos, and a "short only" channel. It's also a nightmare when you're looking for a video of which you don't remember the title, so you go to the channel videos list and it's floaded with shorts and long videos mixed together xD

@@Oscar-bj9ut there’s evidence to suggest that people’s attention spans are getting shorter and shorter. People want to waste less time and don’t find it enjoyable to commit to longer engagements. It’s one of the big reasons why TikTok is such a big craze right now (and has been for like 3 years). It’s also why you see every company rushing to implement some sort of “shorts” feature like KZbin does. Even Instagram has it with Reels (which I think is silly since Stories exist for a reason).

I used to really enjoying Neace's coaching sessions, but I just can't handle him anymore. He transitions from being completely calm to cussing this poor guy out in no more than 1 second. At this point he's either just doing it for the views or simply can't control his own mental--all while charging his students $250 for a coaching session. Neace needs to try to learn something complex, that he's not good at, from somebody he looks up to, while being under immense pressure, all while trying to fight against ingrained mechanical habits. Isn't the point of coaching to get better at the game? Sure he didn't clutch out a win but the point should be for the student to learn and improve not for Neace to be able to flex his students winning all their games. It is what it is; I would trust Neace, 1000%. This guy clearly didn't. If someone who is challenger tells me to flash, I press the button. If they tell me to cage and stand in cage, goddamn I stand in cage. The only reason I would doubt is if I don't think they know what the fuck they're talking about, that I think I'll die anyways, AND that my method is better than theirs--meaning this dude thought he could play it better than with Neace telling him what to do. And it is what it is; some people shut down and buckle when someone yells at them. I think that's okay, it's simply a natural response for some. That's fair. But I don't think that's on Neace. He calmly expressed what the guy should do like 5 seconds in advance. And honestly, he didn't even really yell--not until the play was good and dead. Even then, he didn't go off that hard despite frustration clearly being high. It's probably frustrating knowing this dude paid you good money for your advice only to see him not even follow it. Why would I go to a doctor I didn't trust? Why would I eat at a restaurant I think I'll get food poisoning at? I mean now the dude knows that coaching style isn't for him; it's probably for the best for both of them. It's just kinda sad though as an instructor I think for your time knowingly being valuable, you want to share your knowledge with people, and you want to actually meaningfully help people improve--yet then they just ignore you and don't listen. :/

Ngl, bit of a clickbait title there. It didn't really seem like the guy had an ego problem and was choosing to ignore you. Seemed a lot more like he just hesitated when you said to go all-in against three of the enemies. Yeah, he needs to work on that hesitation and confidence. But outright ignoring you or ego tripping? Nah, that wasn't it man.

I mean i get it that people can be bad at the game, but it's just the reality of things and shouldn't come as a surprise for someone that litterally coaches people for a job. I think the concept of building a personality on the Internet is a smart way to develop an audience, but not that way Neace, these are random people from any background that buy your coaching lessons, what if the guy was very fragile and started crying for embarassement, do you consider that it is a possibility? Would you still post it? Of course you have to mantain a certain treatment towards your client so that they know they're in good hands, but, as i said, not that way neace.

much of what he says is good, but the type of coaching is poor and unhelpful. I've coached a few players and they've all gotten better over the long term over several elos. whether it was bronze to gold or gold to platinum, in the end the goals were achieved, in 10 coaching units as support Role. games that were played in the analytical area were gone through. But What is happening here? is a direct instruction to a taxi driver where the passenger starts screaming if the taxi driver does not turn right as the customer requests. 98% of the coached players of NEACE if I go back to the op.gg there was no progress afterwards. I watches 4-5 Coaching videos, the most player have even lost elo or play no more ranked after 10 defeats This is simply because the Player has to be better than the coach himself if he has to play and take directions from the coach. Since the player who plays is fundamentally worse, after the coaching he will never repeat this performance alone tin the furtur games. As I said, a lot is just right and very well explained, only the coaching itself is wrong. The most important thing a student has to learn first is not how to do it right, but where the weak points are and how to recognize them on their own. This only works after a careful analysis of the games. You have to see it as in chess, you telling the student which figure to move where, you take over his thinking, he just moves the way you tell him. The player will not learn anything in the long run. Because he had never fully thought about his chess move. You have to give the students the chance to make mistakes. Here we try to avoid that can happen, so mistakes don't happen in the first place, a negative experience is never created. However, people only learn from mistakes. 10 of 10 stars when it comes to how much correct information given by the coach. 1 of 10 stars for the type of coaching. There is definitely still a lot that can be improved. Because here the student never becomes a better player in the long run. you also have to consider the class of the player who is being coached. if you have a 200 lp low master player, the type of coaching can be right, since fundamental mistakes are not made at all. with a player below Diamond 3, the coaching is rather unsuitable. don't see my comment as badmouthing so i won't unsubscribe, see it as a chance to improve your coaching if your goal is to educate players in the long run. :) I'm a German, i used a Translator to help me to type the text. lg Kefka
