We really really have to appreciate the fact that a hugely underappreciated show about a guy who made a show that was "too far ahead of its time" and "criminally cancelled" is turning out to be an incredibly underrated show that was too ahead of its time and is only being appreciated later. Haha

I love the random use of stunt doubles in bad wigs for such dangerous feats as running through bushes! And details like the mirror's reflection showing Richard Ayoade/'Dean Learner' filming the scene at the start. Beautiful.
@TheTurnipKing4 жыл бұрын
Well, as is observed during the interviews, Garth doesn't do running.
@brianm2881 Жыл бұрын
Using stunt doubles for those kinds of scenarios was probably more common than we think. It's not dangerous in the same way that jumping from one rooftop to another is, but it does still pose a risk of injury if the main actor trips and falls, which will in turn delay the rest of shooting.

Imagine being 13, not being able to sleep for reasons, having finally got a TV in your room and discovering Eurotrash, meaning you stayed up very late, then finding THIS. If I'm honest I started staying up more for Darkplace than Eurotrash (which I probably shouldn't have been watching). It was a short series but had a lasting effect on me.

I was 7 when it aired in adult swim and didn’t get the whole purpose of the show at first. I thought of the program as just another horror thriller series, not as a comedy which I later in life started to understand and now I’ve come to appreciate it more.
