Such a great detail is when you realize that everyone had their limit break at the start of Jenova fight because they were all emotional and literally at their limit after Aerith's death, while Cloud is the only one who didn't have his limit break because he saw a completely different reality.
@BoricuaMacho7 ай бұрын
Looking back at it all now, I love that attention to detail so much. And how Cloud doesn't even shed a tear after. It makes it even more sad seeing Tifa's reaction and how she can't even look at Cloud because she doesn't recognize him or doesn't want to further harm his fragile mental state. It's SO heartbreaking

I just wish they had the attention to detail that when cloud uses his limit break on sephiroth he doesn’t say “nothing personal!” 😂

I was hopeful that would happen too. But unfortunately, I think Max Dood’s theory about where the series is going is actually right this time…. I just don’t think Square has the balls to follow through with the themes of the first 2 games. Or have the balls to officially canonize beyond a reasonable doubt that Clerith is canon. Even though anybody who’s been paying attention can see that’s the case. But Cloti’s ignore the copious amount of evidence.

Unfortunately I don't think they brought her back, Cloud (due to his mako exposure and connection to the lifestream) sees her lifestream spirit, not the actual Aerith...I just hope they have some kind of Cloud&Aerith conclusion saved for the fans in the grand finale, even if it takes place in the lifestream once everyone's passed away.
@fearlesscheshirecat141125 күн бұрын
@@delriver77 My theory (because like you said, I don’t think they have the balls to actually bring her back) is that when they get to the moment like in the OG where Cloud reaches up to grab Aerith’s hand. When the Northern Crater is collapsing, this time Aerith will pull Cloud into a Lifestream like vision. Where they’ll be in a giant field of flowers, and one lone tree on top of a hill. Where they’ll talk, she’ll probably tell Cloud not to worry about her and to move on. But my hope is that they confess their feelings for one another, and maybe even kiss.

@@fearlesscheshirecat1411 I would like some kind of closure, yes, but the scenario you suggest is a farewell that wouldn't deviate too much from the OG and make me even more depressed. I'd like to imagine that they will find a better use for the "lifestream worlds". Let me explain. We know these worlds are some kind of lifestream purgatories that souls go through before eventually returning to the planet (it's better explained in the chapter "Lifestream White" of OTWTAS), these are worlds that live within the lifestream where souls can find solace and resolve the unfinished businesses from their past lifes. Aerith lives in the lifestream now, helping these souls to reconcile their feelings and let go, before they fuse with the planet (this is where the planet gets its energy from, right now Sephiroth is preventing this process from happening by corrupting the souls or "black whispers", depriving the planet of its energy and causing the breach in the sky of all these "lifestream worlds" whose existence is at risk). We know Aerith doesn't have to lose her individuality and fuse with the planet (which happens for everyone eventually) because she's a Cetra. We also know that Cloud can't fuse with the planet as long as he's got Jenova cells in him (same reason why Sephiroth can't fuse), so he'd be wandering through these worlds. At the end of the OG game, Cloud says that he thinks he can see her "there", meaning the lifestream, and Tifa agrees ("let's go see her"). It would be very moving if these lifestream worlds were used to show us their reunion in the afterlife, after everything's been said and done. In Cloud and Aerith's case, I always imagine Cloud walking into her in the street were they both originally met, giving her back the yellow flower symbolizing a reunion of lovers, and a closing take with Aerith's smile and her tearful face. There could be other variants of course, as this is a very Clerith-pushing ending, but maybe they will give us different scenes depending on our choices once again? Probably your idea is more realistic than mine, it all depends on how they deliver it. If they kiss under the tree, will there be a "we'll see each other again" vibe to it? Or is it a definite farewell? I would much rather have the first one than the second.

Everyone’s reaction to seeing cloud almost give with the biggest headache ever: “Bad cloud! Stop!” Everyone’s reaction seeing sephiroth coming down with his sword: “look up cloud!” Everyone’s reaction to hitting the sword out of his hands: “Not today satan!” Everyone’s reaction to Aerith slumping: “wait..what…? Not again!”

Glad you enjoyed the game as much as we did like back in 1997. Looking back, the OG FF7 feels like the Atari compare to modern day gaming systems. If you hadn't played the OG FF7, don't play it because it will spoil part 3 for you. P.S. - ending scene @7:43:00, is NOT the real Aerith. Either that's Cloud's delusional imagination or an imposter. Noticed what this Aerith in the ending said to Cloud vs to what the Aerith in the Temple of the Acients said to the group in which Cloud responds, "ARE YOU DONE YET"?
