I did my own wedding makeup! It was really calming actually. That being said we had a very very micro wedding. I did really natural skin, then a warm blown out eye look with one of the Stila liquid glitter things and a nude lip. It looked nice and held up well!

I did my own wedding makeup for both my Western and Indian weddings. That was 10 years ago now and I don’t think I would change anything. For the European wedding, in which I wore a traditional white dress, I used mauve eyeshadow with winged eyeliner done with Urban Decay Rockstar eyeliner pencil, which is also mauve, and pink/nude lipstick. In my Indian wedding I wore 2 different sarees over two days and I wore glittery eyeshadow the same colour as the sarees (teal and burgundy) with LOADS of black liner 😀. xxx

For my wedding I used Hourglass Vanish Stick Foundation. I don't know why, because I rarely wear a stick foundation, but youtubers said it just looked stunning in pictures, so I did that. I agree, it looked great. For my eyes, I used the Jaclyn Hill Morphe palette. It really does have all those lovely neutral, shimmery nude colors that is so bridal. I don't recall what blush/bronzer I used. For highlight, my OG, Becca Opal. For lashes, I used House of Lashes Iconic Lites. For lips, I used Bare Minerals Boss. It is a whipped, matte type of liquid lipstick that doesn't totally dry down. It was a perfect, deep nude.

I did my own wedding makeup 3 years ago and I think its sooo important to take the steps you normally take! Like skincare, foundation (or not, I didnt use foundation because I dont wear it day to day) and using a bit more powder than you think you'll need. I usually dont use powder but I set my t zone concealer with a decent amount for my wedding since I got married outside in June 🌸

Skindanavia make a Bridal makeup setting spray. The UD All Nighter setting spray is made by Skindinavia. I use a setting spray before powder, and then again at the end only if I’m looking too powdery. To help your lipstick last do the following: after applying lip color the blot. Take a Kleenex apart and place a single layer over your lips and LIGHTLY powder your lips through the tissue. Finally apply your lip color again. You look beautiful! I recommend doing your own makeup, because it would drive you crazy when they did it wrong. When you’re marrying the right one, you won’t be nervous, just really happy

If a black eyeliner seems too harsh use Nars Mambo liner and use a sigma angled brush and take product from the pencil and make a wing it's so beautiful for neutral looks. I did my own. I did at least ten trial runs leading up to the big day. LOVED my look so much. Got to the actual day and I was so stressed out and had barely any sleep the night before. I couldn’t do my makeup like I had in my trials. My sister ended up doing my eyeshadow, which looked great but not how I originally wanted it. I had a very hard time getting lashes on. I was a nervous wreck and I have really bad anxiety. I really wish I would have just hired a MUA. Everything turned out fine in the end... I got married, so no biggie. Lol

I did my own! Budget more time than you think you’ll need; make sure you have natural light and also access to a sink; have a fan if you tend to get nervous and sweaty! Also, practice a few times - for me, I practiced the eyes a few times because I know my base routine perfectly and I was just doing a pink lip.

I also did my own with my older sister’s help. We did two trials beforehand testing foundation shades and lip products. The day of I was surprisingly relaxed so the makeup itself went fine however we almost ran out of time for hair and final touches before heading to the venue so I would say allot extra time just to be safe!

best clickbait ever I did my makeup on our wedding day by myself. I had a very small wedding (19+2 people). My makeup was very natural, with orange-y/peach-y eyeshadow to match my flowery headband. I couldn't imagine anyone doing the makeup, since makeup artists in my small city all do the same looks, they don't make an effort to understand, what "natural" means for their clients, and the last thing I wanted is to be freaking out and re-doing my makeup because I hated it. I also wanted to look like myself, close to how I look without makeup, because I didn't want to regret following some trend and then hating the photos 10-20 years later.

Our wedding was very casual and low key, so I went for a natural look with a bold bright pink lip. Yeah, I did my makeup on my wedding day and honestly I don't think anyone could have done it any better for me. I kept practicing a thousand times before the big day because I wanted to make sure that nothing went wrong. Actually I have a tan skin tone and I did a pretty much neutral eyes with a hint of deep red just to blend out the browns, added some champagne glitter (nothing crazy) but it looked so chic and soft. For my lips I wore a kind of a berry shade maybe a little vampy but it worked amazingly with my skin color. Thanks for the inspiration❤️

I got married in 2013. I did my own makeup after 3 failed consults at different places. I used Mac Studio Fix foundation, the original UD Naked palette, ABH brow wiz, Ardell Lashes, Nars Orgasm blush and Too Faced Chocolate Soliel bronzer. No highlight no baking or loose setting powder I think I had a Rimmle powder to touch up and a Mac lipglass 😅 I would have looked much different if I had been getting married this year !

I mean for my wedding I would probably wear my normal everyday makeup but make it more long-lasting, so nude eyes & red lips. I wear it for like every occasion now anyway, from class to formals. My younger sister did my both my makeup and nails :) she got a dec from college lasalle in esthetics, and she did a phenomenal job! No foundation, she did a super simple brown neutral eyeshadow and some concealer and your lips but better lipstick and voila!! I've had friends that did some super heavy makeup on their wedding day, to the point where I could barely recognize them. i highly recommend day makeup that accentuates your best features, its way more timeless! What I did is I hired smone I trusted for the big day, but I did my own makeup for the day of our pictures. So my makeup looked basically the same on both days for all photos. That's my best advice. Even if you are an MUA it's a stressful day. One less worry is really a great thing. 😁 💜
