My FAVORITE 12v compressor fridge is the ICECO VL60Pro. The VL35Pro is just like it but SMALLER! What did you think of the performance?!

Thanks for the great video. Do you have trouble opening the lid on the vl pro fridges? My parents (70s) have a hard time opening them because you have to hold in on the handle then lift. They prefer my dometic which is just a simple lift.

I truly appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos. I have learned a ton from watching and i know ill save a lot of money in the long run because I wont make some mistakes in buying the wrong items or setting things up incorrectly because of what Ive learned. You have definitely become my go to channel these days when it comes to solar among other things. You explain things well and its easy to understand while being very thorough and getting to information that is very useful in how products will actually perform. Your reviews of fridges helped me decide on which would work best for my needs and helped me land on this being the one to buy. Ill definitely be using your code so hopefully the kickback will add a little bit for you as well. You are incredibly thorough and get more in depth than just about anyone and the comparable grids are so extremely helpful in sorting the information in one easy to find spot. I also appreciate how grounded and down to earth you come off and it makes for an easy watch and makes me want to see this channel grow that much more. Thanks again for all your efforts and Im more than happy to try and support this channel as I hope you will continue to grow and the channel will thrive as im sure you work incredibly hard for us and you deserve all the success you can get.

Great video as always. I'm a 12V fridge/freezer addict. I own 2 dometic cfx3 45's a 26qt Joytutus, and my latest acquisition is the Setpower 45s. I was considering the iceco but what sold me on the Setpower rv 45s was the 40º anti-shape function. Still testing it out, so far there seems to be about an 12º difference in internal temperature from the set temperature. I've put several bottles of water to freeze over several days and it has only frozen one, on the top shelf of all places. I set it as 20º so I need to lower the temp. Nice design and as I understand it is also manufactured by Iceco. The real surprise is the Joytutus I bought about 3 years ago. It is a real cheap unit which could use a better seal on the lid but otherwise I have had it plugged in for almost 3 years straight on freezer mode and the compressor keeps on running. Not bad for a unit I paid less than $230 for. Again great video, and thank you for your work.

Would get one of these iceco fridges with secop compressor for daily use in a vehicle, or with 2 separate lid sections to use one as freezer. Love the flexible lid. Need to get vehicle first for sizing. Your reviews and spreadsheet are really great to see what size and brands are energy misers (not the smallest ones out there!). Thanks.

Awesome review as always. A bit off topic, but just a follow up from my Elecaenta 120w woes. I've recently purchased a Powerness solarX 120w panel as a replacement and it's awesome! I have the newest version with the extra adapters and the newer panels. Here are the specs: Max power: 140w(omg) Max power current: 7.78 amp, yes 7.78 not 6.6 Max power voltage: 18v I lost the damn booklet but the open circuit voltage when cold tripped my Golabs R300 overvoltage protection at 23.5v so my guess it's around 24v open circuit when cold. I just put my hand over one of the panels to drop the voltage then plugged into the Golabs when the Golabs started charging and the voltage dropped more, I took my hand away. It was pumping in an indicated 60w into the Golabs at the 3amp current limit so with 5w added for losses on that little MPPT controller it was probably pumping in at around 22v at 3 amp. I had it up against a wall so I couldn't look at the panel LCD screen. In October in Toronto(alt 412m) with 652w/m2 solar radiation I was pulling 106w. Temps were around 70 F nice breeze which probably helped with the efficiency but considering this panel is tested at 1000w/m2 solar and I was getting 106w at 18.3v at 5.79amp at 65% of the tested solar radiation I think is awesome. It has an LCD screen on the back which tells you what the panel is pumping out in volts and amps for the DC USB-C and USB-A ports which to me is more of a gimmick but it's fun to look at and it may help beginners angle their panels for max power. The newest version comes with all the adapters unlike the older one. It has a magnetic clasp as well as the two inner panels fold onto themselves. I'm just putting it out there so maybe you can hit them up for a review as a community member found a gem. They have sizes 40w to 200w. I think it was about 10 or 20 bucks more than the Elecaenta but it feels WAY better quality especially the ETFE coating which on the 2 lemon Elecaenta's look like a child put it on.(I don't blame them, their supplier is at fault) Just a head up for the community as there is almost no reviews on it except some crazy German in Australia and in Europe and they are just plugging it in and go "Hey it works". And it's all the older model not this new one. Maybe hit them up and see if they'll send a panel or two for testing. They still market it as a 120w panel so I'm wondering if this is another XT100 gem which gets OVER what it's claiming(120w) under ideal conditions. One guy on Amazon claimed he got a max of 135w which is probably a fluke in the summer. Oh and it has a 2 year warranty not the standard 1 year. Test it damn you! Test it! 🙂

My Alpicool TW35 was $270. Its a dual zone and when I ran the fridge (larger side) at 36 degrees and freezer (smaller side) at -4 degrees (lower than this ICECO even goes) in 75 degree temperatures it used 11.54W across my 4 day test. It has an optional snap in battery which can keep it running 4-8 hours depending on settings and ambient temperatures. This is convenient because you wont have your food go bad if you check the app (it has an app to control and monitor everything), you'll see it is running the battery down so you know something happened to its primary power source. It also allows convenient trips to town for food without having to worry about the 12V lead popping out over a bump in the road. It also has a reversible lid with built in cutting board, dual wire baskets, and drain plug. It has every feature this ICECO has plus dual zone, battery, and more for less than half the price... but its not a SECOP compressor. Mine has been running nonstop for over a year now and it has been great. Just saying, consider your options guys. There is no reason to spend more than you have to, and clearly you don't get more for your money. About the only fridge I'd consider moving up to would be the Glacier from Ecoflow and thats just because of the ice maker. Even then there's the EUHOMY with ice maker for $400 instead of the $1060 Ecoflow setup. The EUHOMY even uses the same battery as my current fridge

There is definitely a difference between a cheaper plastic fridge and a heavier duty metal fridge. Usually product price translates over into customer support and warranty. If you plan to use a fridge while camping or off-roading throughout the year, something more durable will definitely hold up better over time. If you just have the fridge sitting around at your house, you probably don't have to worry about durability as much. I use a cheap 12v fridge at work as a personal fridge for my lunch, it cost $149 and runs 24/7. Not too worried about durability on that model LOL

I want a dual zone fridge like the ecoflow where you can store a divider in the lid, but I want a small fridge like this. If they could make this size, in a dual zone and split lid, that would be cool. I guess my desired 12v fridge design is kind of niche. I really do think that a dual zone is what I want but this could be a good compromise for size. I guess I dont have to have it running as a freezer all the time.

@Jasonoid would you recommend either of those over the ecoflow unit? @Jasonoid I thought the ice maker would also work if you just plugged it into a 110 outlet? So if I were at a campground where I would actually be using the ice or if I had the additional capacity with the capability to recharge I could just plug it into the 110 outlet on a Delta 2 Max (shortlisted possible all-in-one camping trip power supply).

Had an iceco VL45ProS and it broke early. Got sent a new one and the 2nd unit didn’t last either since it stopped going under 34 degrees and would drain my Detla 2 power station. They also aren’t very responsive with their warranty. Built quality isn’t that great. Would not buy an Iceco again.
