I agree with chat. I think "the face" is kind of a combination of notoriety and skill. Hbox is well known but he's not one of the best (in ultimate). Acola is the best rn but I wouldn't say he's the first thing I think about. If anyone it's probably mkleo, but sparg0 is up there too

I'm in high school rn, and i feel the same about smash now. Like, nothing against the players or their playstyles, it's just that ultimate doesn't click anymore. I switched up to street fighter 3rd strike, dbfz and more traditional fg games in general just because ultimate just feels like the same boring thing for many years. I just want a new smash game that kind of turn things up a bit like what SF6 did to street fighter. Just new stuff in general, ya know. Smash 6 will probably be a thing when i'm already in college, or maybe even past that, so i'm not waiting for it rn lol

I disagree that Acola is the best "Smash" player. He's the best steve player, and steve is the best character, so yes, he wins a ton of stuff. But watching him play, his "fundies" as you would say, are legitimately the worst I have ever seen on a top 100 player. The dude just abuses a broken character, and if that character got nerfed by some miracle, Acola would fall off the face of the smash scene and never touch grand finals of a major again. He is an incredible steve player. But steve is not smash, steve is something entirely different.

He's had problems with Muteace and Mkleo in the past, and I think players like Light could beat him if they were playing really well. Also Tweek is showing he's learning the Steve matchup, so if he gets that buckled down, he could definitely take it.
