I understand ,,, I have a 2016 1500 rado on 38s 11” lift but the cultures I grew up around we made fun of people that would buy SS badging on a v6 camaro ect so to me it’s no different trying to dress a 1500 up to look like a 2500 I guess .... if you tow I could understand the hitch but there not popular at all here ... the train horns look like fun but $2500 it’s like saying should I get rims/tires or a horn lol

Been talking to a guy who does custom train horns and tuning. He has a combo horn set that is really close to the horn on the last Mad Max movie, that big overland tanker truck Charlese drives. A buddy of mine got some real train horn and messed with them to the point of making his 1st gen dodge sound just like it, its sick.

Finally, someone who actually bought a REAL train horn. Jesus. I get so tired of people with their “pimped out” trucks who think they have a dope train horn when they just bought some plastic trash from hornblasters. Also - you’re right you did overpay. They charge stupid prices for their stuff. I can’t say for sure how they get their horns, but they rip the serial tags off of the manifolds so they can’t be traced which is SUPER sketch. (The two small holes on the top of the manifold is where the tag once was) I have a K5LA and two K5HL’s available for sale that I would have sold you for $1,100 per horn...

I used to work at hornblasters and I used to rebuild the Nathan air chime, there supper easy to rebuild and they don’t ship them put together because there boxes aren’t big enough. I would say to get them powder coated because the paint will wear off soon and it’s just 5-6 coats of spray paint

use train horn from raneys ... sounds a little bit different on the tuning but is still 168-172 db this is what i used under my 2018 ford f350 with viair 200 psi and 5 gallon tank save some money
