Quick tip: So long as you have ammo in your reserve you are able to reload your shotgun without moving by either clicking on the shot gun above the screen or by pressing the space bar. It seems so simple but but trust me it is a very useful technique and could even be considered almost down right mandatory at harder difficulties as it can allow you to reload without putting yourself in immediate danger.

if the pawn reaches the end of the board, you can promote it into a bishop, a queen, a knight, and a rook. That's the rule of real chess. on the shotgun king, it uses the same thing but with randomized variables on what they are going to be.
