@Filip Gasic Except RDM isn't funny in itself. It just turns kinda into a free for all fuck fest. They literally made jesters and swappers to dissuade against RDM. It is only 'hilarious' is the weird mental gymnastics the yogscast are good at to ascribe a reason for it, then the RDM'd reactions. If they just start shooting at each other aside 'lol I know I'm innocent and I can get away with it' shtick. Hell, they have gone so far as to KOS the detectives that abuse the phd flopper combined with say, Baked Beans or the Grappling Gun (back when Kermit did it) as all it does is just make it boring to view, they are funny exactly one time then boring every other time.

actually if the one who kills the phantom is an innocent and he is kept alive then the traitors have to kill 1 more innocent than they would if you just executed him, although this still isn't reason enough to keep him alive in most cases, it's still not as straight forward as just "always kill the one who killed the phantom"

After watching some episodes of the new format, I feel like traitors are considerably overpowered in this version of TTT. One-shot bodyshot silenced sniper rifles with full zoom and 2 shots, assassins who can one-shot their targets with scouts or shotguns, many different ways to heal, jesters and swappers to confuse innocents and enable jester plays whilst the traitors know who they are, hypnotists to turn former innocents into traitors and essentially double themselves, innocents being unable to check bodies anymore, and the sheer chaos of all of the different weapons, items, item interactions, house rules, etc going on. The detective is also OP with the PHP Flopper + Beans combo, Pew Gun, and the .500 Magnum that one-shot body shots (AKA the Golden Deagle with no downside), but likely not enough so to balance out the traitors. The phantom is also very OP right now, as there's no way for traitors to know if someone is one.

That said, once everyone embraces the 'see smoke, kill on sight' policy, the phantom will essentially become an all but guaranteed traitor kill on top of resurrecting the phantom in a safe position. With the old phoenix, a traitor could camp the body after checking without announcing the role, and just blow them away upon respawn. There was also a high chance of them getting stuck in the wall with no gun, which was a major problem with the perk.

If you kill the innocent who killed the phantom, you get a confirmed innocent back whom the Detective can arm. Still a fantastic deal that narrows down the traitors for all remaining innocents. Also jester and swapper has reduced and will continue to reduce RDM as time goes on, almost always ensuring you're killing a traitor and getting an innocent respawned for killing them. And phantom is even better for confirming an innocent, as it announces to everyone when they've respawned, unlike phoenix which could still be confused for a traitor if someone didn't explicitly see them respawn. Super OP.
