It would be cool if you could buy a couch, store it in your ship, and have the couch act as a bedlog no matter where it sits. Similar to how the Bedroll works in Scum. This way you could buy one, transport it to one of these little shacks and set it up and actually log in and out of it. Seems like a no brainer to me.

Unfortunately for now when you bed log you end up at the center of stanton star system. Hopefully it gets fixed soon. I usually stay out of stations and cities. Preferably living in my ship.

Technically that will be the case. I believe you currently can place couches in ships and in the future they are planning to make it so you always wake up where you log off. So if you lay in the couch u'd wake up there 😎

I like the idea of a "Cutter's Camp" sort of like the Airstream campgrounds here in the US (you can Google "Airstream park"). It would be cool to see a bunch of cutters parked with people hanging out, coming and going, singing 'Kumbaya" around the campire, etc.

I love the derelict settlement locations (finn's folly, zephyr, maker's point, rappel etc. are derelict settlements) it's a shame their only "purpose" is missions to turn all the NPCs into jam, and it's a bit of a risk being at the locations because at any time someone can show up and start strafing it from the sky.

I went to Zephyr today, for the first time (I think). Neat little place. Reminded me of the Pyro test a little. Had a bunch of gear on me that I was able to sell at the terminals. Cool! Thanks for the heads up! Drank a beer while I was there too.

The boxes you can loot at derelict settlements and caterpillar wrecks the white/blue/purple ones can be carried and tractor beamed, useful color coded extra storage for ships/hangars. Can also carry the box to move what's inside it into your ship or item kiosk.

I cant wait, i love the new content in the new patch, sadly it broke my game completely. A last ditch effort is me redownloading and re installing. I want from 5 ships back down to my starter ship due to the patch as well. Hopefully it will sort itself out as i cant wait to enjoy the new features.

I spend a lot of time exploring remote locations, those hundreds of killometers away from any landmark. Finding good spots for bases... hopefully one day I'll be able to sell the data on those locations for people wanting to build safe bases

I am newer to the verse and I dont mind traveling a little slower so that I can wear heavy gear and a huge backpack. Truth is I'm off grid wherever I am cuz I am brimmed to the gills with supplies and even some things I may not need for just incase scenarios(flares, energy drinks and other consumables for specific boosts)and I got plenty of room to loot. Head out with only a pistol or rifle and ammo and take two guns and in the big backpack you can store helmets and other small items and clothes. Plus decent storage on your armor and legs for all the lil things plus lots of med pens on legs and 4x grenades and 8x ammo on the armor. I bought 4x heavy armor sets (blue) 4x backpacks 4x pistols and ammo 4x p4 rifles for when I need firepower 4x med guns plus refills 4x Pyro tools plus tractor attachments and medical attachments plus refills. Scu crates for supplies and storage wherever you go All can be purchased at most stations above planets. Now I go out fearless and have fun. Even if the wheels fall off or stuff bugs out. I prefer to explore using red cutlass or pisces medical/expedition. I can go out and try to do medical beaconson other planets/moons on the fly cuz I'm prepared or just explore or loot a bunker and take supplies back (now I have a few night vision scopes) as I get full I unload at the ship or a crate I drag along with where I know lots of lootables are. I just go slo, heavy and have fun and learn the game in a way that I can enjoy.

Funny story, for 2 days I thought my hangar was bugged as I couldn't summon any ships or vehicles. I tried relogging, switching servers and anything else I could try short of deleting and re-downloading the game itself. Yesterday I found the wheel of my ursa was just a hair over the yellow line, moved it and the hangar works again hahaha talk about hindsight.

Funny story, the first time this outpost showed up I came here and I sat on that toilet, as soon as I got up, I had the NPC glitch. My character would constantly look at the movie glass, and I had no control other than spinning in circles. Thank God for that fix lol

Way back before and a bit after 3.0, when Lorville was the only place other than Olisar, I spent a lot of time wandering around the planet. Far more places there these days, and Lorville was made rather larger. I've been living on MicroTech since that came online. Might have to visit Hurston again, just to look about. Memories. :)

its quite the different experience when you're used to Microtech's fluffy white clouds, snowy mountains, and futurism/optimistic attitude in New Babbage. The clouds are thick and oppressive, the city is dark, dirty, and brutalist, the sun is SO much bigger which not only makes it more prominent but also drastically shortens the days... its quite something to come back to after all this time.

It will be nice when the base building is added. It would be cool to start out with a basic base, a hab and maybe the smallest of production units, like farming or resource extraction. Find a nice spot and run it like a settler who spent all they had with their starter ship and their little slice of the verse with their starter base. Man, CIG is struggling right now, and making some decisions that confuse me, so my hope of that settler style zero to hero gameplay is tempered with some skepticism.

For some reason, you didn’t notice that the problem with quests appeared after the developers rigged the vote in which lightning won and launched a quest to sell it, which broke everything, since it was not tested in the new hangar system.
