Your sexuality isn't like religion. You can convert religions but sexuality can't be changed I wish people would understand that. Why would anyone want to be gay if we don't except them asich as strait people? BECAUSE BEING GAY ISN'T A CHOICE! WE CAN'T JUST BE STRAIT IT'S IMPOSIBLE.

@vinc88512 күн бұрын
@@CuriousCattery don't worry, I won't stop asking questions. The idea of demonic oppression and posession is interesting to me. I don't drink, I am not interested in sexual relationships, I don't think that wiccan rituals have any more merit than a placebo effect and some are just visualisation, I never tried anything like that in a spiritual context. I don't think I have experienced trauma in my childhood, I have a good relationship with my parents. I can't speak for you though. How would you know that what you are feeling is due to demonic influence, instead of being a mundane human experience?
@vinc88512 күн бұрын
@@CuriousCattery everything I have ever been told about the occult, encounters and magic sounds mundane to me. These accounts have been very inconsistent and as I am relatively well educated on medical topics, as well as Psychology these explainations seem more likely. I won't discount it's existance entirely, but it doesn't seem very plausible. I don't hold any belief in God, I tried, but reading the bible and engaging with believers has always driven me further away from faith. I am indeed pretty happy with my life, although it isn't easy, and intend to spend my time well, for no other reason than that I deeply desire it. What well means might change. For the alcohol, I get conveniently honest and realize I don't want to be there. The last time I got to half a beer until I dumped it and left. That was years ago. And yes, usually I take care of the people who are drunk and keep them safe. If you have recurrent sleep paralysis you might want to ask your doctor for a sleep study, even if it were demons, them interacting with the physical world through you could be detectable. Just to make sure it isn't anything serious, there isn't any risk involved. I hope you question your believes from time to time, the question "why" is useful. It might lead you to better insight and don't be afraid of not knowing.

That 1% of catholic priests surveyed have had inappropriate thoughts/actions towards minors. 3% of Protestant pastors have had those. The highest statistic was primary school teachers at 10%. If these studies are true, why do we not condemn teachers 10x more than our society condemns the church?

I liked your comment but I must say to you something of value. The Lord God is a father at the end of the day, a parent. When a parent raises a child, and that child goes rouge so to speak, leaving home to be in there own, and later comes back home a better person. Should the parent deny their child? Or do you think the parent would feel joy, and comfort at the sight of their child returned home. The person they raised them to be, guided them to be. Your bad deeds will fade to the part of their mind that they labeled “Don’t care anymore, it is okay now.” The Lord God did not need our belief in him to bring everything we have around us, including us, to fruition. He doesn’t need our belief now, but he did not create us, to be separate from us. We did that, and continue to do that with immorality throughout the human populations. I pray that the Lord God bless’s you with his presence.

Actually pope Francis has made civil union of homosexual couples legal and acceptable in the catholic church, and because it says in the Bible many many times that the pope is infallible and he backed it up with verses of the Bible, it is appalling and ridiculous to me that this is still an argument. In every single verse where homosexuality is mentioned it was abhorred not because of the act itself but because of either a large age gap which was lost in translation, which was meant to discourage pedophilia (eg man laying with boy not man with man in original scripture), or because it was a gay person being sexually promiscuous. So basically you can be an excellent catholic according to our current pope as long as you abstain from whoring around and pedophilia. A committed homosexual relationship is not rejected by the church anymore.

Quite understanding from a non religious. To be fair much of what society thinks of as the single life is also sin. Whime I've been told sexual sins are the least of our sins it's hard to engage in sexual just once. It becomes habitual and becomes akin to gluteny. It's like an erosion of the soul. A death by 1000 cuts sort of thing and that's why it's also "grave sin" as she says. The hardest part about being someone in his situation is that there isn't really a solution. For a man living hookup culture it's possible to get married and repent. But to be gay you can still technically marry a woman and father children but if it leads to a toxic loveless marriage then what good is faking it? We do believe that Jesus Christ can change hearts and we do believe in demons of impurity that may be causing this type of thing. But it can take a whole lot of prayer to shake these spiritual attachments and you can still have an addiction formed by habits. I do feel for these people. Their path isn't an easy one but hopefully it is a consolation to them that all things are possible through the father.

Hi Mother - we know that all humans have the ability to be loving, sensitive, discerning and such and therefore are able to form deep, meaningful bonds whether with the opposite or same sex. So I'd like to mention, (although on an obviously much more basic level than human relationships standards). that there are at least 1,500 species of animals who engage in same-sex activities - mostly with 'animal instinct' (although, some do form life-long relationships and are exclusively same-sex creatures). There are also around 65,000 creatures who are hermaphroditic. In Genesis it states that God created ALL creatures - so to say that being 'gay' is a 'grave sin' and 'goes against God's law' - is surely to insult ALL God's creations. (Those facts and figures are all proven facts and can easily be found on well-known and respected scientifc studies and sites). Thank you for reading.

We’re humans, not animals. Animals are not dictated by morality, we as humans are. Animals also do vile things such as rape as well as eat their own species. Just because an inclination exists within the human heart doesn’t mean it’s good. If you're going to say the Bible is a "fairy tale" it shows your own ignorance of the Bible. You can disagree that the miracles happened but you can't disagree that the writers of the Bible thought they were recording historical fact. 3. The existence of "God" (an all-powerful, superintellegencia) is the best account for the continuous motion of the universe and for the laws of science. 4. The existence of "God" (an omni-benovolent being) is the best account for why human beings conventionally believe that morality is objective. 5. And they pronounced Talbiya as they proceeded on. And there is no mention of this (too): "I was a girl of tender age and I dozed off and my face touched the bind part of the Haudaj." Sahih al-Bukhari 6971 Narrated `Aisha: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "It is essential to have the consent of a virgin (for the marriage). I said, "A virgin feels shy." The Prophet; said, "Her silence means her consent." Some people said, "If a man falls in love with an orphan slave girl or a virgin and she refuses (him) and then he makes a trick by bringing two false witnesses to testify that he has married her, and then she attains the age of puberty and agrees to marry him and the judge accepts the false witness and the husband knows that the witnesses were false ones, he may consummate his marriage." Sahih Muslim 1422 a 'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) married me when I was six years old, and I was admitted to his house at the age of nine. She further said: We went to Medina and I had an attack of fever for a month, and my hair had come down to the earlobes. Umm Ruman (my mother) came to me and I was at that time on a swing along with my playmates. She called me loudly and I went to her and I did not know what she had wanted of me. She took hold of my hand and took me to the door, and I was saying: Ha, ha (as if I was gasping), until the agitation of my heart was over. She took me to a house, where had gathered the women of the Ansar. They all blessed me and wished me good luck and said: May you have share in good. She (my mother) entrusted me to them. They washed my head and embellished me and nothing frightened me. Allah's Messenger (, may peace be upon him) came there in the morning, and I was entrusted to him. Sahih al-Bukhari 4750 "By Allah Who has sent you with the truth, I have never seen anything regarding Aisha which I would blame her for except that she is a girl of immature age who sometimes sleeps and leaves the dough of her family unprotected so that the domestic goats come and eat it." Sahih al-Bukhari 2661 Buraira said, 'No, by Allah Who has sent you with the Truth, I have never seen in her anything faulty except that she is a girl of immature age, who sometimes sleeps and leaves the dough for the goats to eat.'

Spot on. You can be a practicing Christian with any inclination. It’s when you act on it that it becomes sin. Biblical sex is between one man and one woman that are married. All other sex is sin. 🤷♀️

She is making the nuanced point that no matter the sexual orientation we can be great christians. However practicing sex has confines put upon it in the bible. Esentially confining it to the marriage of a man and a woman. This is a heavy burden that weighs especially heavy on homosexual people. I would say that everyone falls short here in mind or deed. I certainly do. However God loves us nontheless and gave his only Son so that we might find forgiveness and everlasting life

He loves all of us yes...but going against his word is still going against his word. He has already said what will happen to the people who go against his word without repentance. Just because he loves us doesn't mean the sinners who don't repent will still go to heaven bc "God loves us too". That simply wouldn't be fair to the ones who DID go against their fleshly desires and repented for their sins, and one thing about God is that he is JUST⚖️. So the sinners without repentance will go exactly where God said they'll go and the repented* sinners will go where he said they'll go.
