Why this should apply in a game where people are randomly swallowing shiny rocks to transform into giant scaly flying reptiles, I dunno.

Why not a Gibdo bone instead of Molduga? Has higher fuse power... and fragility is a moot point for this set up. (ps I haven't tried it, I'm not just trying to sound clever!)

Good idea but sadly the gibdo bone still brakes after one hit, even if we sit on the back of a lynel😆. So yeah, it would deal a lot more damage per hit but in total (since you can hit the lynel multiple times) do less damage😉👍.

Gibdo bones have what I call "negative" durability, as while Lynels don't further damage a weapon if you attack them while on their back, my theory is the weapon still registers a hit, and Gibdo bones would shatter in said hit.

Depending on the enemy, some weapons are superior to either Champion Weapon when fused with a Molduga Jaw. A Molduga Sledge using a Royal Halberd could decimate 2/3 of the final fight with a perfect dodge, then flurry rush.

Gibdo bones are mega fragile and will always break after one hit. They are pretty much useless for weapons and are far better as an arrow fuse.

I don't like all the save and reload time. I started a new game, and I'm never using any rusty, traveller's, or knight's weapons. No royal guard's sword or spear either. I'm thinking that way, the depths should only spawn royal, gerudo, yiga & forest dwellers weapons. Anyone else tried this?

Fuse first, then lower durability. Fusing adds to its durability, and it'd fool you into thinking you got it down to one last hit if you fused the jaw after doing it.

I get your point that the molduga jaw is better than sabre horns but I'm not understanding how your math is mathing. 49+55×2×2×1.5×1.05=655.2 Which still makes it a good weapon for killing lynels when lynels are in a higher supply than molduga. Also, to level up your radiant armor to 4 level you do need 9 mulduga jaws.

They are connected, the Light root in the depths has a long root going all the way to the top that is the shrine. If you hover over a shrine in the map and then go into the depths map it’ll most likely lead you to a light root.

Because you can get multiple hits on the back of a lynel. Which is basically what this weapon is great for. Killing a lynel in 6 hits is great for farming its horns for other weapons used more often.
