On a side note: manufacturers, please do away with the 43mm forks that come on 90% of adv bikes including the t7,Africa Twin, 800DE, 900rally pro ect ect. These bikes weigh nearly 500pounds, and the fork tubes flex when ridden hard. Ducati uses 46mm and the 790-1290 uses 48mm fork tubes. Back in the day, 43mm forks were fine, but now, more and more moto guys, woods guys and desert guys are getting into adv, and the fork flex is gnarly and makes the fork harsh bc it is binding in the forst 30% of the stroke.

Nice build! I also did a full exhaust and two Wheel Dinoworks reflash Went up one tooth in the rear. Those three are the best mods I have done to the bike I have popped the front up at 32mph and road it out to 90 mph!! (Shifting gears of course) I did a drag race against an 890R (I took off in second gear, these bikes are geared low) my front tire stayed 3 feet in front of his front tire until 74 mph and then he walked away from me. That is impressive considering he has 40% more HP. 32,000 miles on it now and still love it. I’ve done the Transamerica Trail on it and some BDR‘s

A few years back, we did a off road tour with a Erzberg driver as a guide in croatia. We had a 701, a 450 and a TX125 along. Let me tell you, it was basically hard-enduro riding the three days and the TX125 performed best, due to its weight. And it was most fun of them all. Only downturn: the small fuel tank! We had to take spare fuel in Cole bottles along for it… Next time the 701 will not go along. They have 300ˋs fro rent, still better than a heavy adv bike Sure, next time, well defined with mousse equipped as we had several flats …

Ditch the crash bars, add the Camel adv rear brake pedal, and go to a 2.5" rear wheel so you can run a bead lock. I still run a dot tire (motoz tractionator enduro i/t in a 130/90/18 because the knobbies are taller than the 140). I like the look and benefits of the stock low fender, I've done almost hardenduro type riding and have never had an issue with clearance. Nice build, and glad to see others using the T7 as an enduro bike.

my issue with all adventure bikes vs real dirt bikes is the weight. If you’ve ever had to pick up a fully-farkled bike in the mud, you’ll miss the trail bike. They also hurt a lot more sitting on your foot, so definitely get some boots with ankle pro, like the Tech 7 Enduros, which also work great for road work.

@deltabravo18114 ай бұрын
That's cute. The first thing to do in order to make that bike better offroad is to remove the shock and forks and throw them in the bin. Utter trash. I'm not joking. Nothing you did made the bike better offroad without a suspension. A stock YZ comes with better suspension. Fit Ohlins. Btw, it's easier to just buy a KTM 950 Super Enduro, if you can find one. 100k+ mile engine. Good luck.

Tenere 700 is the worst adventure motorcycle, expensive too. Try CFmoto 450MT or the AJP PR7. Tuareg only if you want a bigger engine .
@Navaho664 ай бұрын
These huge offroad bikes don't make ANY sense at all. Weight is your enemy offroad, and any seasoned rider knows it. I've been riding offroad bikes for 35 years. Older guys, like myself, should be downsizing, not upsizing. If you drop one of these beasts on yourself on a solo ride in the boonies, you are screwed. I have been pinned under a bike that weighed 125 lbs less than this but fortunately I wasn't alone. Besides, these massive adv. bikes are no fun at all in comparison the 500 cc class dual sports on any kind of trail. Newbs and posers buy these things and then go out and get hurt because the bikes ar MORE difficult to ride than smaller bikes.
