How do you do shortcats so flawlessly? I mess up half the time on hard maps. Is it just practice or is there some special secret to your power?

#1 is practice, #2 is knowing exactly when you're supposed to press each button, and how much you're allowed to mess up the timing. when i practice a shortcut, i purposely do it wrong in a few ways to see what mistakes are acceptable

The second stage you raced on, I think it was the Yoshi stage. If you take the blue bouncy mushroom and use the speed mushroom when you are on the glider it’s easier to hit that shortcut at the end heading towards the that left curve. Just use speed mushroom to stay in the air longer Vs hitting that shortcut from the ground.
