In my opinion as someone who studies competitive game development in hopes of turning it into a career: If the lane meta is not fun to play, even if it may be balanced in some way- That is a problem. A lot of competitive games have unbalanced metas, but they're still fun. People still have a good time even if playin off meta such as in games like Dota 2. I think league to fix these issues should reduce the late game impact of infinite scales and reduce the kill potential pre lv9 across the board. Massively increase CDs and make it so the game naturally can go on longer rather than being decided at 20-25 minutes. This'll increase fun had, and deter tilting since you know for sure the game is not over yet. I also think reverting teleport changes would be good. As it'd encourage TP being brought top and having more map impact

currently atleast in low elo games are not decided early, shutdowns and ovjective bounties make sure the game goes on until 30 mins atleast if the skill gap isnt huge. CDs being lower is more fun though, the drawback is that adcs are weaker but they are getting buffed pretty often. If only tanks didnt outdamage adcs though.

I know how you hate goredrinker, but I've been buidling syreldas first then gore, and it feel good on aatrox. My winrate has gone from a 43% to 49% using this build. I go clever after too I, don't really build it for the actual healing active circular thing, but the stats feel really nice especially paired with the higher damage deaths dance and maw. Buying anything %based early is pointless because defensive stats has diminishing returns. Put simply. If your armour is 10, and you made it 20, you've doubled your physical resistance. It your armour was 100 and you made it 110, you've probably increased your physical resistance by single digit %. Lethality early (and Vs squishes) is obnoxious because they practically make a person with 50 armour have virtually non. But taking 50 armour off a character with 250 will do basically nothing. % based only works If the opponent in question has the stats to warrant it being a percentage rather then a flat amount. And as a first item buy NOBODY has enough armour to warrent an % armour pen item

Cassiopeia is a Mid Laner, Rengar is a Jungler, Akshan is a Mid Laner, Zac is a Jungler and Olaf used to be a Jungler. Most can be flex-picked Top, but their best role (With the exception of Olaf) is Jungle or Mid. Olaf is pretty much a Top Laner now

The only reason zac is not better on top than on jungle statistically is because he gets blind picked and has unplayable matchups, if the community would handle him like malphite and only apply him as a counter then even he would be a better toplaner than jungler.He even mentiones quinn, quinn doesnt even have a second role. The idea that i get from this whole thing is that Naayil is just fucking stupid. Its not even knew that these champs go top, with exception of Akshan(which did not exist). Every single of these champs get played toplane since season 3(thats when i started playing, so i dont have any information about the prior state). For example, Cassio in a counterpick for Toplaners because of her W, since they can't engage because she'll just counter-engage them, but it's a very long lane for an imobile mage such as Cassio, she's really exposed there. Akshan is better as a Midlaner because he has much more map acess there, he can go wherever he wants from Mid, but works as a lane bully on Toplane too. Rengar Top is an OTP cheesy pick, you need to have good control of your mobility as you can only go forward unless you are too advanced on the Lane and Rengar overall needs good Ferocity management. I don't disagree that they are good on Toplane, they are, but are overall better in other Lanes, they have pretty low Pickrates on Top because they are situational or OTP picks (Rengar Top and Quinn). I agree with you on Quinn tho, she is a Toplaner

Second pick is a death sentence in top lane. Even if you tell your jungler to focus bot and try to play safe, they'll ignore you, force a bad fight into a Warwick and wonder why he didn't die when all your spells were down, then act like it's your fault for not winning the fight you didn't want to take.
