“This Is The Wrong Decision” Tory MP Says ‘Time Not Right’ For July General Election

Talk’s Peter Cardwell was joined by Conservative MP Paul Scully ahead of the Prime Minister’s announcement of a general election in July.
Rishi Sunak has since made a gamble and called an election earlier than many in Westminster had expected.
Paul tells Peter that this is “the wrong decision”, adding: "We need to be setting out a vision, you always need to roll the pitch as a politician. You can't do this overnight!"
The MP for Sutton and Cheam will not be standing in this general election.

Maybe it would have been better if instead of pro-Conservative types endlessly bleating "Labour will be worse" they should have asked "why aren't people voting Conservative" and put their energy into making their preferred party better? They only have themselves to blame, as I see it. An 80 seat majority Boris delivered them and they've done what with it? 🤷🏻‍♂️

My mother bemoaned DTJ for years and voted FJB due to propaganda and her age. Now she is the biggest DJT fan. Things are terrible in the UK but will only get worse when you let these loons in. They have never been in charge really if you're looking at the last 60 years as they're even worse. It's more a protest vote now. Under Liebour, they bankrupted the nation in the 70's, made a mess of handling 08 with Darling saying no money left and you will have your FJB moment. Richly deserved as your people are too scared to go with a new party and stuck doing the same things over and over.
