Exactly why is this destruktion of this body of water done ? seem to be a lot of land behind the work site to build stuff on . Total waste of stone/ fill ? With is a non renewable resource .

There is not but one hole and it is about in the middle of the slip, and probably in the water. Only place the aggregate or truckload of rocks where we think the hole is. No need really to spread the rocks out until the hole is satisfied. (something like that- we have sinkholes in South Carolina)

I believe they are fighting a losing battle. Too much water. Get rid of the water, then you might have a better chance of filling it in. Til then, Good Luck.

They do this type of fill daily over there. It usually turns into a mess eventually. The ground settles over time and sometimes develops swampy areas years later. It’s a rudimentary way to fill but it’s cheap and quick. That’s what they want.

And, if there is any depth to that water at all, you'll never get that area filled, especially if it keeps doing this. The way it looks,,( for me anyway), you will still be trying to get that place filled in 5 years from now. And maybe not even then.

En prenant mes dimensions supposées et les 60m de profondeur comme indiqué sur la photo, plus ce qui est hors d'eau (à vue de nez 2 m) il faudrait entre 12 et 19 millions de m3 pour le combler !!!! C'est pas demain que tout sera comblé !!!

No way that pond is 60m deep, doubt it's 6m deep even in the middle. If 60m deep it would need 100's of millions of tons of spoil to fill it, would take decades and no way economically viable.
