8:04 This is actually a mistake. You weren't supposed to know that he has a high rank yet. That was the whole point of Yuzuriha coming into frame and blocking the view of his intro card. But the subtitle team fucked up and put the subtitles in anyways. Ruining one of the most badass reveals later in the series.

@@tyson8576 MANGA SPOILERS Of course it was. When everyone was dying and all hope seemed to be lost, Senta protected everyone which was completely unexpected as throughout the series we just see him as the fat, nerd guy. The reveal that he was fifth rank in all of Asaemon was shocking because nobody expected him to be powerful in the first place. Him losing his life in to protect everyone was very sad and badass. Maybe you weren't paying attention.

The rank meant nothing, the Rank 1 was cannablized as soon as the manga started so it gave everyone the impression that ranks didn’t really matter. This was furthered by statements from other Asemon. It wasn’t hype whatsoever to find out this guy was four ranks below the guy who got eaten immediately, it was hype to find out how powerful he was.

I mean its very close to the manga but just in the last episode they moved a scene around so we might see some stuff dropped in the future (hopefully not!) The scene in the start of this ep was actually supposed to be before we first see the giant and the butterflies so its very close they might just shuffle scenes for making it more tv like if that makes sense - they also left out some panels that might make things easier to understand (for now who knows maybe they do flashbacks for context) but like how yuzuriha did in fact test things on makiya but also dissected him to see how the flowers and what not changed him inside (which is only like 2 panels also in a flashback but they came up after gabi asks her what she really did to him, its implied she lied about ONLY killing him so she just left out the dissection part)
