This feels like it’s for new players, you could grab INT Vados and INT 16, AGL Golden Frieza and AGL Cell Jr., TEQ God Goku, PHY Gowasu and Zamasu are all decent options for someone who needs a competent character like you’re saying and they will usually not be featured so it can be difficult to obtain them while they’re relevant. Yes the list needs to be trimmed to like 1/10 of its size and then add newer characters that you can really use but these strips aren’t completely pointless imo

For the recent units being on here bit. It would cause a shit storm for several reasons if they put a recently released unit in this pool to pick from based on their performance, it would send a VERY BAD MESSAGE. So we know they plan out things MONTHS In advance and I'm gonna assume the wish strip pool is included in that. So if they intentionally designed a unit that wasn't that good and because he wasn't that good he was ok able to be picked with wish strips. Imagine the amount of people who would be pissed that they knew they designed a shit unit with the intentions of putting them in the wish strip pull. That would be horrible and break the illusion for a lot of people that dokkan devs make units' kits with no bias

Wish strips should at least include banner units from the previous Tanabata. Like the banner units released between tanabatas. So right now we should get 2023 to 2024 banner units along with 2022 to 2023. Imagine if wish strips could get you STR Krillin, AGL Daiz and Cacao, TEQ Nappa and Vegeta? Phy 21?!. I get they're worried about people getting summonable characters but limit them to 1 unit per pick with the strips or something. It would make people have actual choice and make them want to use their wish strips.

I can't quite tell when I started my current account, but the four DFE units that show up when filtered by Acquired are LR INT Cell, STR Videl, INT Future Gohan, and AGL Android 13. And since I have Version Z Goku before the earlist obtained DFE here, Videl, it would have been a period where they were all featured in like 2-3 celebrations next to each other.
