At soundwave in 2012 he had 30 people from the crowd on stage singing with him it was pretty good too, other than that he didn't sing enough :/

Hey, I would too if I played guitar to This Is War. The song just pumps you up.

@Matt Timmons The fact that it's transposed down is not because Jared can't hit the notes - at Rock am Ring 2010 he hits everything fine, it's probably more to do with the fact that the more you tour, the harder it all gets and in the interest of preserving your voice, it makes sense to drop a half step, same as why in this video Jared skips the final chorus and jumps over the '(it's a) brave new world'. It's all pretty common for touring bands. Plus, if you've ever been in the studio, some days you can really pull out things that you didn't know you could do. Guitarists find they can play faster solos because they're sitting with their guitar up high, drummers can play harder fills because they can start a song fresh rather than after an hour of playing hard, and vocalists can re-track parts, drink water often, nail techniques, and rest their voice between songs. You can't do any of that live, and sometimes on tour you find out that it's impossible to do, especially on a song like this which has some intense notes, and 30stm usually play this near the end of the set.

In addition, sometimes when you're live, you just want to do it the way that grabs you right now, perhaps? I would say that if you don't like that, that's fine -- don't listen to the live stuff by that band then. Hypocrisy is a good example -- albums are good, well-composed. Not autotuned or any crap, just polished. And live, they underwhelm (well, recordings do -- to be honest, I'd still go to a concert to bang some heads \m/)

Also sometimes people do have off days and sometimes even producers with some talents as such (being a generalised term) sometimes have to pick individual words out of what some have sung, they're only human after all!

I really wish they make a Tour in which they perform at least some of the songs from This is War album. And not on Europe. They are my favorite band.

I understand that the song is really high, but why would you record in one key and play lower? It just makes me think that his vocal work is mainly studio work. I would really like to hear him do it in the original key live. I would have a lot more respect for an already awesome band.
@HowDyaYouLikeMeNow8 жыл бұрын
Jesus, man. He plays his own instruments, writes their music and doesn't use autotune. That's already way beyond everything modern music shits out these days.
@tanjilafaruki58957 жыл бұрын
in a concert he has to sing for hours. if he sang all the high notes, he would never be able to finish the tour. any singer's vocal cord would be affected by that amount of screaming.
@alonehades1006 жыл бұрын
Just to avoid damage to his vocal chords, many singers do it because of the strain that singing daily can cause on their voices. Besides Jared did fuck his voice at the end of this tour so the key change is only logical
@fabio94gf Жыл бұрын
All the singers do that, and he actually lowered very little and still kept very high for most men
@musiccfreakk1996Be12 жыл бұрын
kinda funny, they are playing a concert in there, and behind them there is just a metro or whatever it is riding there, just the life on street going on, only difference, a band is playing XD

I like their early stuff but honestly wouldn't ever go see them live. He sings so powerful in the album that their live performances are very lackluster. If he were to sing just 1 song at full power per show he'd fuck his vocal cords for sure.
