I think Sips is the only member of the Yogscast who doesn't do sponsored videos. I don't think there is anything wrong with getting paid a little extra to play a game, but i really don't remember Sips doing any of these. I could be wrong though. I think it's pretty cool that Sips doesn't do these though.

i mean the yogs aren't like "oh this game is amazing", or "this is the best game ever", they actully sort of point out that it feels sort of pay to win at some points or if the grafics glitch out a bit, at least i have notice that, that even if the yogs(specially Hatfilms) do a sponsored videos they do it with a pinch of salt if some things seem odd

As annoying as the grind is, even being able to upgrade your stuff the tiniest amount is very satisfying and the upgrades actually have a large impact on the weapons themselves makes it more worthwhile.

They lessened the rank grind a few updates ago. I do know what you mean though I tried getting a scoped kar 98 on my German inf a year ago and it took months of heavy play, much easier now.

used to play this game with a few friends ..it was fun, but the guns/upgrades took soooooo long to earn, you basically just had the shittiest gun ever unless you spent money or played 6 hrs a day for weeks... wasnt much fun being relegated to a single shot unsighted rifle as your only option for litterally weeks of playtime. ..in order to earn a scope for the sniper rifle, you had to get liek level 11 or something. dunno if that stuff has changed, but if so it was a decent game otherwise.

for free to play games they have to balance the aspect of grinding so its not too much to make unplesant to do, but also not too little, so the game progresion keeps you playing for longer, and enough to make putting money input a viable thing to do stuff faster but again not too much so it doesn't become pay to win, but it is still a good enough option so some people put money into the game, not only for server maintenance but also get some profit from it (thats way cosmetic item are usually the way to go, or a way for a player to give donations to the developers)
