I didn’t have a Wii U for smash, but I did have a 3DS. And when Lucas returned as dlc. There was just something about him that made me want to main him even though I don’t know who he is. Ever since then I’ve been a Lucas main. But mine doesn’t come close to yours

He’s such a fun character to play, no character can come close to the satisfaction I get from playing him honestly! I played brawl casually but I used Lucario, Wolf, Ike, and Toon Link for fun! It’s crazy how much I miss subspace emissary :)

Try NESS i hate how lucas has so many spikes but ness has some AWSOME ariels, anyone have be tips on getting better with lucas

I personally love the different options for being able to utilize his spikes for taking early stocks! I mained ness for a bit, he was quite fun but I wanted to try something new :) My advice for Lucas depends on what you want to accomplish with the character but with enough hard work and consistency you can accomplish anything! @@tokiimori that was a fast reply lol im also not used to the different PK fire and lightning tbh, the movement is different the PK fire has knockback and also doesnt stun, the lightning goes slow and its a multi-hit which is really different. Lucas has weird ariels, im not used to using grab often but the snake is pretty easy to use

I know the struggle, how I got used to Lucas after using Ness was just getting comfortable in training mode and practicing the moves I had trouble adjusting to compared to Ness :) The main thing to take away is to be consistent with practicing and you will get used to him when you put in more work. It was super frustrating for me but super rewarding in the end! I don’t regret switching characters in the slightest but everyone has their fit of character, and ultimately it is up to you what you choose to do

i think it says a lot about lucas that in one of the most impressive montages of the character half the clips are just edgeguards or mashing good moves until the opponent fucks up

There are a lot of more impressive montages out there, but yes I agree! Why would we not capitalize on edgeguards and waiting for our opponent to mess up, these are the strongest things about the character which is why I absolutely LOVE playing him! :)
