i remember trick having like 10k viewers in season 6, when you guys got to challenger together, after that run he slowly dropped to around 6k, there were so many league streamers back then, fun times. League is losing popularity, sure, but I don't think it's that big of a deal, guys like tyler1 and baus are doing extremely well. The drop in viewership can also be because a lot of streamers are getting older and lose interest. Trick had his highest viewership when he was at his worst mental state, when he was tilting out of his mind and yelling every game, it was hilarious, but you can't keep that up for long. I think there are other factors, not necessarily the game losing popularity, this is a very slow process, also no league competitors, it can't really "die".

League at the moment feels like it's stagnating rather than dying, but tbh, it does seem, to me, that Twitch content has reached its limits in its current form and, as Sirhcez mentioned in his videos, the platform is overloaded with content creators that are limited both in content because of DMCA laws that are abusively reinforced thanks to the army of lawyers the large media lobby is pushing towards lawmakers and what the media allows then to do with only a camera, a mic, lighting and a good Internet connection. The amount of dubious behaviors streamers that have come to light over the past couple of years also haven't helped the general sentiment that the platform isn't all rainbows and butterflies as the different communities made it to be, especially among Xers and boomers who are still regular TV watchers or switched to Disney+, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc, so couple that with the repetitiveness of the available content which basically boils down to "Just talking" jacuzzi cleavage-fest, watching someone grind a single videogame for hours that isn't appealing to everyone and random people walking on the street and you get yourself a recipe to lose regular viewers in the long run. The people I watch are mainly people I discovered through League content that turned out to be very enjoyable people overall (Caedrel, Flowers and Ovilee namely) or content creators that were doing things before Twitch and started streaming when their careers called for it. I don't care about 99% of the stuff that is going on and the things I'm actually interested in can't be sustained on an instantaneity-driven platform like Twitch. There was a huge speculative bubble surrounding online content during the Covid pandemic and companies slowly realized that it wasn't worth all the investments after all. Moreover, Twitch in itself isn't profitable for Amazon to say the least and I wouldn't be remotely surprised if Bezos decided to make it a more selective platform to reduce costs and increase actual revenue for better-produced content (which basically turns out to be TV production). Riot is very aware of that aspect and them pivoting towards being self-sustainable through multiple games and absurdly high-priced cosmetics is only but natural in this context. Tl;dr : League is stagnating, Twitch is bad in its current state and people started to notice

Started watching Chris during the proxy singed days in s3. I remember catching you after your shifts at mcdonalds. I'm pretty sure I've watched your stream more than any other over the last 10 years. No one else has your chill vibe. You got that niche locked down

I hope you reconnect with whoever got you to start streaming. Maybe duo with him/her. Or even an interview

I haven't touched League in almost a decade (Season 5), yet I still watch streamers like SirchEz. I think people will continue to watch even if the game is "dying", but I wouldn't blame him for switching over to a new game, i'd still watch him tbh. 👍

Takes me back to the glory days of 2012-2014... I miss the idea of league. But not the truth. Not what it's become.

I found sirchez back in highcschool 2015, I really liked nasus's kit and was looking for Nasus Mains. Since then Nasus has always been a pocket pick no matter what nerfs or buffs riot does to the champ, i rememeber when the q cooldown was below 2 secs because of the customizable rune pages that you had to grind

Hey Chris, how do you play so well against enemy champions that counter you? I've played safe attempted to farm only, but as Nasus you don't really have much mobility.

Good to learn about how your stream career kicked off. I’d say if you do branch out, play something to show off your skill you have. I hated when you went through that weird rpg girl game phase. Just my two cents as one viewer of your league stuff
