That's because he has muscle memory. People think about mechanics and positioning, and those are important. But there are small differences in timing in how and when you jump/flip that you can't replicate entirely. It's small but it's things like that create a massive skill gap in the game.

I understand the simplicity you preach in these videos, but as someone around these ranks I try to do the things you label as a poor play because I'm not just trying to rank up, I'm trying to improve mechanically as well as my game sense. Going for these all in risky plays may result in a loss, but it teaches me what I can and can't do, how to recover from plays like that, and how to improve on the plays in the future. But I really do appreciate the approach you take in these videos.

Maybe I’d be C3 instead of C1 in 1’s if I didn’t play like I do, but it’s how I like to play 1’s.

Yeah, if your goal isn't to go pro, I say you should play however you like. Because it's just for fun at that point anyway. I think a lot of people get caught up with what you should and shouldn't do, and forget to ask themselves what their end goal is for the game

Hi Squishy! I'm so glad you're slowly returning to your roots. The Rocket League journey has been amazing to watch. Leth, Kronovi, and You are my Favorite RL "players". And honorable mention; SunlessK. My suggestion for this channel is more tutorial based content; alongside the Road2s. Throughout your near-decade career of playing Rocket League... You've always said "27" boost is all you need to make any save in the game. I'd love for you to make a tutorial (and maybe even a training pack), demonstrating the circumstances as to why this is true. Thanks. Also, (you mentioned this previously) but please make a tutorial on how to stop the ball on top of your car; I believe you could've done it @ 7:22, but you were expecting the Bump. You & Leth are, in my opinion, the most "intellectual" Rocket League players. I associate Rocket League as a combination of "Hockey", "Skateboarding" and "Pool/Billiards". I'd love to see you also get back into Freestyling, before you went pro, remember, you invested a lot of time into freestyling. Thanks so much for sharing your journey with us. ~~~~~

Could you go into more detail about fake challenges and defense as a whole? What’s the point in fake challenging if the opponent can’t see you? What’s a good fake challenge vs a bad one
@AstroAce77 ай бұрын
The idea is you drive towards your opponent when they can still see you so they know you are approaching them. You don’t fake and turn back while they can still see you. The point is if they see you coming and then ‘faking’ and turning back, they will not buy your fake. You basically drive at them, then disappear behind the ball, get them to panic because they don’t see you so they think you are challenging and throw you the ball. It’s all about timing and positioning correctly behind the ball. Try it out in 1s next time!
@Andrew-K7 ай бұрын
That's a really good question! I think catchme nailed it. Challenge while you're still visible, become hidden, then fake (turn away).
