That sounds is from a pulsar spinning 11 times a SECOND! It’s HAUNTING. Maybe even scarier… there are pulsars that are MUCH, MUCH faster than this one. 😱 #astronomy #astrophotography #pulsar

Why they spinning so fast?
@ogaboga-ox4ex6 ай бұрын
Pulsars spin rapidly . This physical principle states that when a rotating object shrinks in size, it spins faster. Explanation Pulsars are young neutron stars that spin very rapidly, 20 or more times per second. The process of core collapse may cause young neutron stars to spin rapidly. This is similar to an ice skater drawing in their arms, which causes them to spin more rapidly. Stars are born spinning, and when they shrink down to neutron star size, conservation of angular momentum makes them spin faster. The newly-created neutrons can stop the collapse, leaving behind a neutron star. The first radio pulsar, "CP 1919" (now known as PSR B1919+21), was discovered in 1967. It had a pulse period of 1.337 seconds and a pulse width of 0.04-second. @@bloodygekkon5048

@@bloodygekkon5048I'm not expert, but what I remember is that stars spin like all other objects, and they are big, when they collapse, all this "momentum" is put into a very small point, about 20km wide, thats why they spin so fast (take it with a really big grain of salt)

The Vela Pulsar, also known as PSR B0833-45, is a well-studied pulsar located within the Vela supernova remnant, about 800 light-years from Earth. It is the remnants of a supernova that exploded approximately 11,000 years ago. This pulsar is notable for its rapid rotation, spinning 11 times per second, and is one of the brightest sources of gamma rays in the sky

Fun Fact: This is one of the slowest spinning Pulsars, a normal Pulsar spins at 730 times a second! This means 43000 times a minute, in conclusion, Vela Pulsar spins at a speed of 2.3 Million km/h (Or Mach 2013.55) or over 600 km/s Edit: I meant 716 times a second, and by 716 rotations a second it is in the Millisecond Pulsar (MSP) category, spinning every 10 milliseconds or less. If you wonder: "What About Microsecond Ones?" It's not known if they exist, If there was one, it would had to spin every 10 microseconds or less or just less than 100 meaning close to light speed, and the pulsar would need higher gravity to hold itself, so it means it will rip apart due to it spinning at around 7160 times a second (or less) So no chance for such Microsecond types to exist

People commenting about being the description of a Pulsar in some old farce Book should honestly read about what a Pulsar is and how do scientists record the 'sound'of these bodies....😂

What makes you say that it is an old farce book? Enlighten me, if you can.

Ah yes, Confirmation Bias. We always find what we look for, and then say “SEE!!! ITS TRUE!!!” even when it’s not.
@KelzBernard17 күн бұрын
@@JohannRosario1 Good point, but do you believe that atheists are able to be guilty of confirmation bias? I can see the absurdity of some of the claims of my fellow believers. Some of my brothers and sisters know how to jump the gun when it comes to their misplaced passion. However, the notion of a creator is not by any means far fetched if you understand the astrophysics of the known universe and molecular biology. Again, do you believe that atheists can also be guilty of confirmation bias? Atheism is, by the way, a religious belief that takes great faith. Much respect 🫡

In the Qur’an there is a verse that says: (By the sky and the one who strikes. * And how can you make you know what is the one who strikes? * The piercing star) This is the piercing star. Its sound is like someone knocking on a door. وَالسَّمَاءِ وَالطَّارِقِ * وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الطَّارِقُ * النَّجْمُ الثَّاقِبُ
