This is a great experiment! Funny, I was pondering the other day whether glow in the dark could be combined with resincrete in some way. Now I'm wondering if heat powder could be used in resincrete. I'm guessing it might not work the same, but am curious!
@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts Жыл бұрын
I think it would work, but you would need to add a lot of it.

absolutely love these the ball was definitely the best . they'd make great fidget keyrings or for sensory children or children who would find them relaxing or a distraction. top work I bet you'd sell loads at a fayre or fete or craft show/sell... I'm definitely going to give this ago but in a big 12 " diameter that's blank and a mold for numbers or i,v,x or just straight lines type I can't decide

Steve, I really enjoy your channel. Love watching your experiments as well. What did you call those metal pieces that you put in top of your jewelry pieces...pinch something was all i could make out. They look really nice and better than the simple metal rings that I've been using.

What fun! How do you avoid getting sharp edges when you pour? I did a bunch of keychains (they were mold that has 4 matte finish and 4 glossy finish, they look like round animals) and realized that the bottoms were very sharp! I know I could just pour some more resin over them to fill but didn't have time. This seems to be happening with most, if not all, of my molds recently.
@Made4YouResin Жыл бұрын
The resin shrinks when curing so get down to eye level and fill the mold until it looks like it's about to overflow. Wait about 10 minutes and get back down to eye level you'll see it's already settled and top it back up, it's called doming, it also can done afterwards but it's rather fiddly to do once demold as the resin will want to flow over the edge
@Made4YouResin Жыл бұрын
If you aren't sure what I mean google dont spill the water games you'll see that it looks full but you can always add more as the tension holds it and it's the same with resin in a mold x
