After noticing that each theme for each episode was different, I wondered what would happen if I combined them all.

Pretty sure Tony Gilroy won't be back for a good while. They whittled the show down from 5 to 2 seasons because he didn't want such a commitment to work on just star wars for years. @@Rand0mN0rwegianGuy The only explanation I can imagine for somebody like you is that you're not at all concerned with logical consistency. Even just watching Andor now should retroactively make you dislike the terrible Ep 8 (I cannot speak to 9, never watched it after the disaster of a movie Ep 8 was) _at least._ Ep 7 was merely unoriginal and unimaginative. Ep 8 was an actively horrendous movie sequel to an established franchise. If it were a standalone space film, it would be tolerable, but as a SW movie it fails entirely, even actively harms the canon. Therefore, if you _liked_ Ep 8, that just means that you don't give a damn for consistency at all - which you can do, of course. People can like badly constructed movies, I just wished they were honest about it.
@bradleydelay

@@lVideoWatcherljust going to need to say other people are allowed to have their own opinions and standards. If you're going to accuse someone of lacking logical consistency for not disliking a thing you dislike, then you're forgetting the subjective nature of art. I don't like the sequel trilogy and like Andor, but this treatment makes me annoyed with the fandom as a whole. Stop trashing on others just because a precedent was set with the prequels. You are allowed to not like those movies but others are allowed to like them.

@moomoocowsly. Your attribution of my feelings about this piece of music to being an American is wrong. I sympathize with the oppressed. In this case, the oppressed are the common folk under the empire. When their rights are taken away and those in charge do not want to listen to their grievances, they can only take so much before revolting. You may have a point in that someone from 300 years ago may more likely be sympathetic to their monarch. The question is why? In a word, ignorance. If they are not aware of the plight of others or of the monarch's oppressive acts, they cannot act upon it. Similarly, if they are taught that "other" people are less than human, then they can be conditioned to ignore the "other's" oppression. See Jews in WW2 Germany, Imperial Japan's treatment of other Asian ethnic groups, Uyghirs in China, Slavery, etc etc. We nowadays have the luxury of education and interconnection like no other time in history. We can choose to see the humanity and others and instantly see what others are going through with the power of telecommunications. Think of the Iranian protests, the mass imprisonment of the Uyghir people, the war crimes Russia is committing in Ukraine, Kosovo, the list goes on and on. A common person 300 years ago would have no idea those things were happening or maybe wouldn't care. Also, you completely ignore any other revolutions that may have taken place literally anywhere else in the world. See Russian revolution, Fall of Qing Dynasty in China, Islamic revolution in Iran, once again, the list goes on and on.

Also, Revolution is just the natural process of correcting a state that has strayed too far from the will of the people. Yes, they are violent, but that violence should be blamed on the state, because it is the actions of the state, and the ruling class which that state represents, that create the necessity for revolution by regular people, who just need to be able to go to work and feed their families. Filoni is stretched so thin these days, he isn't quite as involved with the live action stuff as much as Favreau is, and Favreau is writing it as well. @Monarch Music but all of the issues with the shows are just reoccurring negative trends from clone wars and rebels. It is fairly clear as well. All of the shows have the same flaws with villains because excluding Maul, they are otherwise 1 dimensional, or at least more rounded than they should be in the case of rebels. TCW had grievous as a complete non threat, while dooku was purely horrid with 0 nuance. Rebels used very high-quality actors for the main villains, which is why the issue definitely doesn't stand out as much. The Grand Inquisitor isn't really that evil, Jason Isaacs makes him sound quite smug, and that is generally his defining trait. Vader is done well because James Earl Jones plays him and because Vader is genuinely like that portrayal. Thrawn is definitely done wrong, but since he is such a good character, he still ends up being great, especially since the majority of people agree that this voice suits him best, and Timothy Zahn himself actually agrees I think. The Emperor was not actually been handled well IMO, he goes from being void of emotion to cackling like crazy.

I'd say mine are: Ep 2 - The violins sound really nice. Ep 6 - The piano was a really nice addition and gave an eerie vibe to it. Ep 9 - The fast paced sci-fi tone was epic. Ep 10 - My reason is similar to yours. Ep 12 - It was just epic.

Nicholas Britell definitely composed the episode title tracks to be parts to a whole piece! It's just like the Rebellion, one person starts the fight for freedom and others join the cause creating a chorus of rebels ready to fight the Empire! I love it! Good job compiling them together!

The amount of discussions, meetings, more discussions, collaborating, meetings, respectful disagreements, planning, rewriting to adjust, meeting, discussions (lol) that went on behind the scenes here is nothing short of amazing. Its understandable how Tony Gilroy visibly exhaled when asked if he was ready to do it all again. And were all very very thankful.

Freakin’ brilliant. You don’t notice the individual moans and drones of malaise, disease, disgust, defeat. Like the invisible rebel doing his or her little bit to be a thorn, collectively, all movements and actions taken as a call to arms can be folded together as a single voice of rebellion.

Each episode the theme builds up, just like how they are telling the story of rebellion - from roots and seeds up to what we see in the films like Rogue One, as a full blown alliance. On a different note, anyone else love Stellan Skarsgård’s monologue too?

Between this and _Succession,_ Nicolas Brittel is lowkey my favorite active composer. Nicholas was one of the first people brought on to the project to give this take on the galaxy a proper soundscape. _Huge_ upgrade over Michael Giacchino's _Rogue One_ score. While that felt like a _Star Wars Lite_ homage; this show has an authentic "this isn't what you're used to because this is the back alley that normally gets skipped over" energy that rather than trying to repeat the OG instead fills it out from underneath.
