Potatoes fed in livestock rations are generally comparable to good corn silage. potatoes may be feed raw to cattle, sheep, horses an swine but are best cooked for swine. Raw potatoes have only 213 the value of cooked, potatoes fed to pigs. PS: Love u guys so much ❤️❤️

I agree. There is no need to cook every night. We normally will cook something every week and use it for multiple meals. Basically say if we make chicken, we use it for, fajitas, tacos, soup, or something like that. And we always make enough for leftovers, especially if we make something that took us a long time.

The pigs are hungry little balls of fun. It was a cute place to sleep. My Uncle had a pig farm, so l love the pink round piggies! You save on utilities when you don't cook every night. It just makes sense to do cooking every other day, when farming. Life is too short to spend it working 24-7. Your kids are only young once in your life. Enjoy!!!🍇🍈🍉🍊🍋🍌🍍🍎🌽🍆🍅🍓🍒🍑🍐🍏🌶🍄🍎🍍🍌🍋🍊🍉🍈🍇🍏🍐

Potatoes are in the nightshade family and the skins can contain a small amount of toxin. You'd have to eat a boat load for there to be any effect. Raw potato starch is difficult to digest so cooking helps that.

Your not cooking every night by no means should make yoi feel like a failure infact your idea of cooking double portions is very clever for many different reasons . Firstly your freeing up time used to prepare your family's meals so it can be put to more rewarding use like spending time with your kids or husband which is so very important . Even use that time to pamper yourself being a mum is a full time job 24/7 and having a little ME time to read a good book or take a long bath for example helps centre yourself which is not just beneficial for you but its beneficial to the whole family . DONT feel bad about giving your self a break from preparing meals remember you are entitled to the right for a little ME time SO ENJOY !

I've always served up my non pork kitchen scraps to my pigs back when I had them. Pigs love potatoes overall. I would recommend boiling the potatoes or skin before giving it to the pigs, including the water, for the same reason you would eat cooked over raw.

We call those Continental Cucumbers and they are nice but I personally love Apple Cucumber. I’d love to say I cook every day, but some days I’m at work and can’t. I’m blessed to have a hubby that likes to cook and I’ve taught my 3 oldest and my foster sons how to cook. Someone always steps up and picks up the slack. I love your garden. I’ve been wanting to start my own, but for now I have them in pots ☹️. It’s hard to garden in SE Louisiana. I do have fruit trees though. I have a navel orange, a blood orange, two satsuma, a methley plum, an Asian pear, a fig, a Japanese plum, a peach and an apple (I had two, but one didn’t take. I have to get another one).

you are right on not cooking all the time. I have a big cook day where i cook huge pots of things and let them cool then bag them and freeze. That way i only have to grab a bag of whatever i want and microwave it. I do chili, spaghetti (put extra sauce on it when cooking because it gets absorbed), something my dad called "hamburger stew", meatloaf, dried beans, split pea soup.... gosh just tons of stuff all serving sized ready to eat.
