Thanks for the update on you're workshop! Damo is my favourite, love seeing metal work being done in action! My question is can you touch base on the whole respray/blowover for the VL? When you tidy up a car that has already had previous paintwork, no body work needed again, just rub down (800grit for example) mask and go for it. Not too sure about the application process if we are painting over clear coat still? Or base coat, and painting base coat again first for coverage or is that just a ground coat? Then considering all the the levels of material, how does it all lay down, cure, react and wear over time, in this type of respray? Is it the primer sealer/wet on wet that gives us the lee-way and enough confidence that we can get away with this type of respray? All cars are different, customers affordability is a factor too. I understand all this. Long story short, tried spray painting, couldn't get help to learn just overworked first job. Back to plan A now a Mechanic, cheers boys. No need for a reply its a fairly broad topic. I'll happily wait till the next video if its been mentioned.

I’ve never had the opportunity to see how they were assembled or how they could be picked apart. Thanks for the insight. Did they change much with later commodores like VR/VS? Cos I’ve always wondered how the rear end and quarters go together

I was just checking because I didn't see it in its usual spot and I was afraid after the sandblasting and priming place finished with it the owner might have finally changed his mind 😂
