THIS IS WHAT HIGH HANDICAP GOLF LOOKS LIKE - Break 90 at Ash Valley Golf Club (18 hole golf vlog)

Here we go! This Break 90 video was one hell of a ride. We are filming at Ash Valley Golf Club in essex, again another extremely hilly golf course. This is the last video before i started taking up golf lessons. Thank you all for the continued support, hopefully you enjoy every shot of this golf course vlog.

If you are new around here i have recently got my first handicap with England Golf and after some difficult rounds it came out at 22 handicap so we now try to break 90 and keep trying to lower my handicap from a high handicap golfer to mid handicap golfer and the aim one day to go even lower!
How to get a golf handicap?
I used England golf to obtain one which was and is a very easy process.

Oh my word, Ash Valley! That's the place I played my first round (nearly 25 years ago). First round with brother-in-law's old bladed clubs...+130. But was the place I first broke 100 and 90 and got my first eagle [6 iron on the par 5 6th hole]. Some happy memories 🏌️‍♂️⛳

Some signs of a decent golfer in the making 👏🏻 Couple of ideas to bring the game on (if you’re out at a quiet time) :1) on or around the green, if you hit poor shot/putt drop another ball down (I use different colour) and replay the shot. 2) You have as many mulligan shots as your handicap. If you hit a bad shot/ wrong club/ bad alignment, take a mulligan. (Perhaps don’t use on tee shots on par4/5s or if the course is busy) 👍🏻

Ooh, that went a little pear shaped. I felt your struggle and frustration Lewis. The course was a tough one today, greens looked a little difficult.Those who follow all your videos know you are a better golfer. This HC quest has given you added pressure and it's playing with your head. The lessons is a great idea because they will sort out the bad habits that have crept into your game. Every time you looked at the camera and said "WTF" to yourself I wanted to give you some words of encouragement 🤗. There is something missing from your game... he is big, loud, bearded and knows a lot about trees, not limes though 🤣🤣Onward and upward my friend... well downward for the HC.

Ha. I used to play Ash Valley while living in the area. Was dirt cheap and almost nobody there most of the time :) Challenging course but if you hit long, a few par 4s were in reach :)

Hi Sheila.. it's still reasonably priced considering it's 18 holes with great holes to play and decent conditions. Yes I would agree I could have played a lot better and scored better but just wasn't my day. Thanks for dropping by, hope to see you around here again 🙌

@@Fordy11895 you can use stand bags with a trolley you just need to turn the bag to the side or 180 degrees so the legs are pointing to the sky

Relatable video thank you. I’ve played this course and not easy. Just a rules point that on the 10th hole I think you should have played a provisional ball or take a stroke and distance penalty (back from the tee) rather than take a penalty drop. Keep it up! 😊

For golfers struggling to play off slopes, it's important to remember the golden rules. Below your feet, the ball will turn left to right UNLESS you allow for this when it will fly dead straight. Above your feet it will turn right to left UNLESS you allow for this when it will fly dead straight.

The slope index on this course is off imo it plays so long with the hills and the greens are so slopey
