Hey Hadar! I would also add to my learning more exposure to English. Back then, around 20 years ago I couldn't buy even an English textbook or any book in English. Living in a non-English speaking country, I couldn't hear people speaking English. But now I can fully immerse myself even if I don't live in English-speaking country. I can just listen to podcasts, watch videos, get any book I want in English. Another thing is that now when we have KZbin I can easily listen and shadow and shadowing is a great exercise (I love it because of you). And, of course, I would be listening more to teachers like YOU!!!! But all this abundance sometimes can overwhelm us, it might be hard to navigate in such a vast amount of information. That's why I would be interested to watch a video about what you wouldn't do if you started learning English in 20231

You're right, there are many options, but they make it difficult to choose... After all, we're intimidated by our own limitations and potential in general that we can't use well. It's easier to find the resources, but on the other hand, the risk of getting distracted is endless...Thanks for your support!😊

I started learning English ten years ago, approximately, winth ABA English, on line. My previous level was very low. Nowadays, I keep my learning watching KZbin (Speak English with Vanesa, Mariana Plesco, and of course you) I only need the English to watch movies, and for pleasure of learning. I'm learning Portuguese, too. And that's it. I love you a lot. I love your enthusiasm when you talk.

It was such a blessing to find your educational videos on KZbin. I tried out your teaching materials for a few months before becoming your student in New Sound. My pronunciation is much improved so is my confidence in communicating with other native speakers.

I would add e-readers to your list. Using them instead of a physical book makes checking a new word more comfortable, since you don't have to search through the pages of a thick dictionary any more. By simply touching the word on the screen, you have the meaning. After I bought it, I'm reading a lot more and increasing my exposure to the language.

I'm at the same age as yours, so I could really relate to what you talked about in this video. I wish I was born earlier, but at the same time, I feel a great relief that I wasn't, lol. I'm pretty grateful of all those years without Internet and advanced technology. I think I needed that experience of limited resources and options. So, I would definitely want to watch the downside version😁

I got a lifetime subscription to Elsa Speak (got it for $99 on sale) ... It's an AI based app. I have mixed feelings about it. The idea is excellent but the execution is far from perfect. The AI often struggles to recognize connected speech, the different pronunciation of the letter "T". Reductions, etc. The stress and intonation lessons are awful. Whoever designed them was an amatheur. Often you have to speak slow and over pronounce the words and sounds for the AI to detect them. Sometimes no matter what you do the platform just doesn't recognize the word and gives you a lower grade. I really hope they improve it in the future because as I said earlier I do like the concept and I feel it can help people if it works as it is supposed to.
