2018! Age was slowing him down and affecting his endurance but his touch at the net after two decades of training harder than practically anyone else on tour (thanks in part to his motivation from never clinching a major title) was just ridiculous. I think 2018 LCW was the best net player the world has ever seen. Seeing him absolutely dismantle Axelsen and even Momota around the net at times was a sight to behold. Keep in mind all the highlights we have from 2018 are only from the first few months of the year before he got cancer! Edit: It's also such a shame he got cancer at this point in time as he was still very strong, and while he wasn't at his very best as an overall player he seemed to still be improving in his shot quality and net play, which is just ridiculous given how strong he already was.

Nope he said 2011 for sure. 2014 he lost badly to lin dan in Asian game final, lost to chen long for world champion and also lost to chen long in multiple occasion , he was too stiff in that year
