A serious question: What happened to those who died in that terrible disaster in Miami who did not believe in Jesus? How about some of them who had once believed and didn't anymore? How about those who heard the Gospel and chose to be atheists and agnostics? If you follow the Bible, you will have to say those who died without Christ will burn in hell forever. That's clearly taught in the Scriptures. This is one reason why I no longer follow the Bible. This tragedy points to the difficulties of life, to the inexorable and inevitable encounter with death we all have, and with the importance of living our life to the max each and every day. When people suffer, it's vital for all of us to extend love, compassion, and care to those who have lost loved ones in this terrible disaster. There is no way any of these people are going to Hell forever just because they "don't have the Son!!!" I rest my case.

Several issues with this: 1) Romans 3:10-17 states that NO ONE chooses God. It is only through His call and regeneration of the sinner that ANYONE can come to Him. 2) The very notion that we can EARN anything in regard to God/salvation flies in the face of the gospel. It is only when we realize that we have NOTHING to offer God but our sin and wickedness that He will extend His grace and mercy. It is only when we realize that grace is a gift that we utterly don't deserve that we come to the place where we truly understand how unworthy we are and how good He is.

When you awake to your desperate need for a Saviour, to your inability to change your nature (Jeremiah 17:9), the rebelliousness and enmity your sins have thrust at God, and the ingratitude and self love you have shown, CRY OUT to Jesus to save you. He came to save sinner, not the self righteous who do not 'see' their need. Thank Him. Then call upon the name of the Lord. How? As Peter told the Jews who were pricked in the heart. Acts 2:38. And as Paul did, Acts 22:16. Meditate on Romans 6:3-11, Colossians 2:6-15. [King James Bible on line.] He has treasures of truth about Himself, His perfect character, deep, deep love; He is gracious, merciful, slow to anger and of great kindness. And learn of His severity. His word is eternal, it judges the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12. It prepares you for all good works that God has set aside for you to do. 2 Timothy 3:16. The Holy Ghost will use the eternal word to lead you into all truth. 1 John 2:27. Oh, how deeply He loves! He paid it all, yet we share in His inheritance in heaven.

This Sunday my grandma was accusing of me lying and well my family isn’t saved. So they make fun of me or say things like you lied, I’m going tell the church. But I wasn’t lying and I told them that’s the 3rd commandment but I was wrong lol it’s the 9th 😅 anyway when I claim the Commandment my aunt's husband said “don't start preaching I don't want to hear it.” I asked him “why”and he said because he doesn't believe in that stuff to many religions I told very true but only one is true. It’s Jesus Christ. And I got cut off short of course to have the family change the subject. But after watching this I have more knowledge to explain why Christ is the One! Using Gods name in vain isn’t as simple as what we’ve all been taught in Sunday school about using his name as a cuss word. It’s more like when a soldier kneels before his king and receives his knighthood he then is in complete service of his king and fights tirelessly in honor of his king, ready to fight & die for his king whenever he is called. Taking the kings name in vain is to dishonor your king, proudly wearing knights armor displayed for all to see but going against the king and his laws, doing the things you know would be unpleasing, dishonoring & disrespectful to your king. I believe using Gods name as a cuss word falls under blasphemy but regardless, it is wrong in so many ways to use it as a cuss word. There are 3 words that have always made my stomach turn since I was a teenager and I’m 45 now, the first one being as we just mentioned “God d$&n” 2 “Jesus Christ” saying it in anger or just saying it outside of historical or purpose of prayers 3 the N word, it makes me cringe when Black people say it to each other, I hate that word. It speaks darkness in their lives. God said your tongue is a double edged sword ⚔️ so at that my belief is calling someone by that name is calling darkness into their life and when the person excepts that name you except the destruction that also comes with it. You may be Black but God made you perfect in his image, you are a beautiful child of God you are not the N word Don’t accept that into your life, you are so much greater than that. The fourth commandment has been misinterpreted. The Bible does not say 'one day'. It says to keep holy the 'seventh day", which is Saturday.

I’m often asked why (when I’m reasoning with the lost) I ignore the Fourth Commandment-to keep the Sabbath holy. Those who ask this can sound very convincing as to why we should keep that Commandment. They say: 1. God gave the Sabbath as a sign to His people. 2. Jesus kept the Sabbath. 3. The Apostle Paul’s custom was to go to synagogues on the Sabbath. 4. History shows us that Roman Catholic Church changed the day of rest from Saturday to Sunday. Let’s look closely at each one of these arguments: 1. God gave the Sabbath as a Sign “And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ‘Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations...‘“ (Exodus 31:12-13). “It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever...” (verse 17). The Sabbath was a sign between the nation of Israel and God. It wasn’t given as a “sign” to Christians. 2. Jesus Kept the Sabbath “So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read” (Luke 4:16). It was His custom to go to the synagogue on the Sabbath because He was Jewish. That’s what godly Jews do. He was brought up under the Law, and He perfectly kept every one of its 613 precepts. 3. Paul’s Custom Let’s look at why Paul (as a believer in Jesus) went to synagogues on the Sabbath: “Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures, explaining and demonstrating that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, ‘This Jesus whom I preach to you is the Christ’” (Acts 17:2-3). “And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks” (Acts 18:4). He went there to reason with the Jews about Jesus being the Christ. We should imitate him. Are we doing that? Is it our custom to go into Jewish synagogues on the Sabbath to reason with Jews? To maintain that He went there to keep the Law flies in the face of the entire book of Galatians: “I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain” (Galatians 2:21). “Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor” (Galatians 3:24-25). God’s Law is good, if we use it lawfully-as a tutor to bring the knowledge of sin to sinners (which is what Paul was doing): “But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully, knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners...” (1 Timothy 1:8-9). Conversely, the Law is not good if it is used to bring condemnation to Christians. That’s an unlawful use of the Law. Look at the day the disciples gathered together to break bread, to fellowship, and to open the Scriptures: “Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight...”(Acts 20:7). Here is the same verse from the Amplified Bible: “Now on the first day of the week (Sunday), when we were gathered together to break bread (share communion), Paul began talking with them, intending to leave the next day; and he kept on with his message until midnight” (Acts 20:7). 4. The Roman Church If we keep the same day the disciples kept (Sunday), it has nothing to do with what the Catholic Church did in history. What they did is irrelevant. If Christians were to supposed keep the Sabbath, the appropriate time for God to have told us to do so, would have been in Acts 15 when some said the Law had to be kept: “Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, “You must be circumcised and keep the law”-to whom we gave no such commandment...” (Acts 15:24, emphasis added). If Christians should keep Sabbath, the disciples needed only to say “and remember to keep the Sabbath holy.” Instead, they said the opposite: “...to whom we gave no such commandment.” There is not one commandment in the New Testament for Christians to keep the Sabbath holy. If there was, I would gladly keep it and would encourage others to also. I would suggest to those who keep the Jewish Sabbath that they make sure they keep it on the same day that the nation of Israel keeps it. That day would be on a Friday or possibly a Sunday-depending where in the world they are located. This is because of the man-made International Date Line (established in 1884). When that was established it changed the days and times. As Christians, we have great liberty in what we can eat, what we drink, wear, or the day or days we esteem: “One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind...”(Romans 14:5). I have no right to tell any Christian what he should eat, drink, wear, what music he should listen to, or what day he should esteem. That’s between him and God. And I should never tell him that he has to keep the Law-something the disciples said “tests God” and puts a restrictive yoke on the neck of believers. In reference to some who were saying that the Law must be kept, the disciples said, “Now therefore, why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved...” (Acts 15:10, emphasis added). “You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace” (Galatians 5:4, emphasis added). We are saved by grace alone (see Ephesians 2:8-9). We no longer have to strive to be saved, and in Jesus we find rest for our souls: “There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His” (Hebrews 4:9-10). When I take the lost through the Ten Commandments, I use them as a mirror to show sinners their sinful condition (see Romans 3:19,20, 7:7). I rarely mention the Fourth Commandment because the unregenerate conscience won’t respond to it as it does to commandments that refer to lying, stealing, blasphemy, adultery, and lust. These are obvious sins to him. Failing to keep the Sabbath holy is not. I also don’t use the Fourth Commandment because Jesus didn’t use it when He brought the knowledge of sin to the rich young ruler. He quoted five Commandments, and left out the Sabbath: “You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Do not defraud,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’ ” (Mark 10:19). Neither did the Apostle Paul refer to the Sabbath, when he used the Law lawfully: “You, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal? You who say, “Do not commit adultery,” do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?” (Romans 2:21-22). Again, Paul addressed theft, adultery, and idolatry, but he made no mention of the Sabbath. When James used the Law to bring the knowledge of sin, he too omitted the Sabbath: “For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. For He who said, ‘Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.’ Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law” (James 2:10-11). The Scriptures tell us that we shouldn’t allow anyone to judge us in reference to eating, drinking, or whether or not we keep Sabbath days: “So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ” (Colossians 2:16-17). I suggest that those who want to meet on Saturday, meet on Saturday. That’s their God-given liberty. And those who want to follow the example of the disciples and meet on Sunday, should meet on Sunday, because they too have that God-given freedom. And instead of Christian brethren striving about the Law, we should put our time and energy into reaching the unsaved, as did: “But avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless” (Titus 3:9).

God gave the Sab-bath as a Sign (I have hyphenated the word as you have censored it) Genesis 2:3 - Then God BLESSED the SEVENTH DAY and made it HOLY, because on it He rested from all the work of creating that He had done." The seventh day Sab-bath (Saturday) was instituted on the creation week. It was given to mankind right in the beginning of this world, much before the children of Israel existed. Kindly observe that God BLESSED and made HOLY not just any day, but the seventh day. Was God tired from His work of creation? I believe that God rested and set aside the seventh day not because He was tired, but to establish it as a day of communion with human beings and also commemorate it as a sign of His finished work of creation, (Genesis 2:1-2) so that mankind will REMEMBER and acknowledge Him as the Creator. (Exodus 20:8) If God intended for another day to become the Sab-bath, He must have removed the blessing from the seventh day and placed it on the day which was to replace it. But when God bestows a blessing, it is forever. "...You, O Lord, have blessed it, and it will be blessed forever" (1 Chronicles 17:27). "I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot change it" (Numbers 23:20). Your birthday, a memorial of your birth, can't be changed, though you may celebrate it on a different day. Neither can the Sab-bath, a memorial of creation (Exodus 20:11), be changed, though some may celebrate it on a different day.

Jesus Kept the Sab-bath John 15:10 “If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.” It was His custom to go to the synagogue on the Sab-bath because He kept God’s commandments and not because He was Jewish. Jesus did not only come to die for our sins but to also teach us and show us the way. When Jesus had kept God the Father’s commandments, His teachings and practices cannot be contradictory.

Great show. Thank you for doing God's work...I read somone recount taking the scriptures into the jungles of Borneo (might be wrong on the location) and witnessing to the native peoples of the forest...these folks could not fathom that God's word was accessible, right in front of them in their very hands. They were amazed and straight away took it at face value, they believed it. I wish we, in the so called civilized society, would believe it more readily as well.

I love this channel! It helps to teach me how to convict and share with others. Witnessing is one most difficult things because of all the arguments it provokes. It's hard not to "insult" someone else's beliefs without sounding judgemental. People are quick to anger and there's a gentle approach to conviction. I learn something new in each and every one of these.

@@mrdjbrand Well..that's not exactly what I meant here. All things work for His glory. We are His instruments for said conviction. Each and every one of us has gifts. Some paint. Others have more mundane skills such as the sciences. The point being that, no matter who you are, you're part of a grander plan. I have them. You have them. Being believers, we all have one thing in common: purpose. It is our purpose to share the good news of the gospel. Of course you already know that but my point is that, we all have various ways of doing that when the time arises. There are many instances that I wish I could have handled those moments better. The whole reason for the comment was to state an admiration for Ray's gifts. Plain and simple. But..indeed, conviction is always of the Holy spirit. One problem with text is that it's very limited emotionally and only so much can be said.I suppose you've highlighted that and added to my statement and for that I do thank you. Good works are necessary. The judgement scene in Matthew clarifies this. Talk is cheap but works prove the sincerity of our repentance. The Holy Spirit Grants us talents and He expects us to use them. Works do not save but they prove that our repentance is real. Jesus l trust in you.

It sounds like you could be one a prayer warrior. Console Jesus because so many reject Him. The silence of a Catholic Church might suit your temperament as you set aside time each day for prayer. I'm not opposed to religion, and think religious institutions have created some beautiful wonders. Catholic astronomy is phenomenal. Plenty of bad people and limited thinkers are religious, and plenty of intelligent decent people are irreligious. I'm not sure what argument you're making, you've just written a short list of bad atheists. There are plenty of religiously motivated wars, crusades and pogroms. 24 meter mud sediment on a single mountain might be evidence, but is far from proof. I pulled up the Wikipedia list of tsunamis and can't find what you're referring to. I really feel like you're putting too much trust in scant evidence while deliberately ignoring much more solid scientific evidence. The bible is parable, a series of instructive stories to help guide a soul through a troubled world. It is not a historical text. I'd really encourage you to look at real archaeology and bible history. It's a well studied field.
