Great interview 👍 thanks for getting Laurie and re my super chat incase anyone wondered if I was throwing shade at him not in particular but I do feel like there's been a couple of mentions of ETH and MVDG and no follow up on Steve or Darren being a big part of the setup and also very accessible for the playing squad, I mean Steve gets mentions as interim manager 😂 so obviously the players like him and find him approachable so it's a bit daft really in my opinion.

Joe on Casemiro - "Ten Hag signed him". More like he desperately needed a proven DM and he didn't get his first choice and was told he could have Casemiro. This culture of calling a player one of a manager's signings just because they come in while they are manager is just nuts. ETH had a threadbare squad with massive gaps in multiple positions - He'll take the best player those who actually make the deals can get him to plug those holes. That doesn't mean ETH ever said "Go get me Casemiro" - If anything, it seemed to be common knowledge he wanted De Jong more than ANYONE, and didn't get him.
@akeemguy73313 ай бұрын
I would agree with that if there wasnt reports that ten ahg wanted both... Funny how some of the OMG topics people talked about after reading the article, like varane and casemiro talking about what its like under Carlo, the PR situation, wanting a striker a year ago, Laurie actually talks about it now like they're not that big of a deal. That's the problem with taking things as 100% serious from an article. People saw the ETH wanted a striker a year ago comment as him being angry with the club, yet here Laurie talks about it in a joking, off the cuff comment, nothing like how serious people were taking it from the article.

Frenkie is also strange in that he has been deployed as both a defensive and attacking midfielder in his career and excelled at both (while strangely not excelling in the other area whenever he switches). You aren't going to get like for like replacements for those players. Who would you even suggest instead of Hojlund and Casemiro who would fit so much better as replacements? @@EnshroudedLad Keane is a lot like Fergie (probably why they clashed heads). He's tough when he needs to be and softer when that's the best method. Ten Hag could use him.

That 'high line' stat is extremely disingenuous. For one, it's not even true, Varane AND Martinez didn't even play all the game together, plus it was in front of De Gea who gets a nosebleed if he goes past his penalty spot. And two, the position in comparison to the rest of the league is different because all the other teams are playing higher than they were even 2 years ago. If you've EVER actually watched a Ten Hag team, you would know he doesn't want to play as far back as we have been

Spot on. And bringing up Ole playing a high line when he was the one who brought in the fridge that is Maguire?
@raph22953 ай бұрын
It literally is true. Yes Martinez and Varane didn’t play every game in the first season, but they did play a hell of a lot. And with that being said, we played a deeper line than Everton. Yes de gea is obviously incapable of sweeping, but the point stands that Ole was able to play a high line in spite of that to decent effect and consistently got good results in the premier league. We signed Onana, what’s the excuse now? We STILL play a very deep line with a new goalkeeper. You’re talking nonsense
@raph22953 ай бұрын
@@WanderingPropellerYeah and what pal? Maguire and Lindelof played in a high line for 2 consecutive seasons under Solskjaer. Ten hag signed Antony and Amrabat. What’s your point?

@raph2295 Let me guess, you got your info from the DevilsDNA tweet?
@raph22953 ай бұрын
@@Parky_1712 well he’s a great account, but no, I knew Solskjaer played a high line by erm, watching us. Then we saw Ten hags first season with our frontline sitting on the halfway line, and our defense right in front of the box. I let Ten hag off because off De geas incompetence, but even with Onana, we sit very deep. This is his intent.

I guarantee the only players that are speaking negatively about bad cop bad cop are players like Rashford and then others that are not in ETH's plans. There is a reason ETH is being authoritarian to get rid of the weak culture/players. There is still an issue with players that we need gone, Rashford needs to go.

If you think this Laurie piece isn’t filled with bias undertones & briefs from the club you are one NAIVE person 💀 Everyone acting like Laurie is 100% in the know of the events throughout the season when it’s more likely from sources that push the clubs rhetoric and narrative they’d like out there. I advise you all to engage in critical thinking and not take the entirety of the article as FACTUAL 🙅🏽♂️ Esp the high wage players (Varane, Casemiro & Sancho), their version of the truth will come out eventually.. let’s wait for that‼️
